Add a resizable Explorer-style interface to your application. Data Explorer creates an intuitive application interface that pairs a TreeView with a viewer pane separated by a splitter bar. Use Data Explorer to create a Windows Explorer or Microsoft Outlook style interface for your application. Data Explorer includes an Outlook Bar component for adding shortcuts that can be linked to folder views, and a resizer component (SSResizer) to create applications that are resolution independent. Infragistics Data Explorer was previously called Sheridan Protoview Data Explorer.
The Data Explorer includes these powerful components:
- Data Explorer Component - With minimal coding, create applications that look and behave in a consistent manner with products like Outlook and FrontPage. Users navigate a TreeView structure that can be synchronized with objects in the right-hand viewer pane. The Data Explorer includes built-in viewer panes for web browsers, Microsoft Office documents, VB Forms, MFC Dialogs, extended ListViews or any ActiveX component required
- Outlook Bar Component - Combining the Ingragistics Outlook Bar with the Data Explorer, in minutes create an Outlook-style application user interface. The Outlook Bar is an ATL component that creates a vertical bar of icon groups, each with a series of item shortcuts that can easily be linked to folder views in the Data Explorer. The Outlook Bar has been optimized to work with the Data Explorer component, but can also be used in stand-alone applications
- Resizer Component - The Resizer component lets developers create forms that are screen resolution independent. As the form resizes, the Resizer control positions, sizes and adjusts fonts for contained components to their surrounding environment. The Resizer is ideal for stand-alone applications or for use with custom forms in the right-hand pane of the Data Explorer component
