Add compression and encryption to your .NET Applications InaCryptCompress.Net component integrates crypt and compress functionality into one. It is suitable for data crypt, data compressing or for joint use of these functionalities. InaCryptCompress supports Blowfish and Rijndael crypt algorithms and ZLib data compress algorithms.

Blowfish is a symmetric block cipher that can be used as a drop-in replacement for DES or IDEA. It takes a variable-length key, from 32 bits to 448 bits, making it ideal for both domestic and exportable use.

Blowfish was designed in 1993 by Bruce Schneier as a fast, free alternative to existing encryption algorithms. Since then it has been analyzed considerably, and it is slowly gaining acceptance as a strong encryption algorithm.

Rijndael is a block cipher, designed by Joan Daemen and Vincent Rijmen as a candidate algorithm for the AES. The cipher has a variable block length and key length. It uses keys with a length of 128, 192, or 256 bits to encrypt blocks with al length of 128, 192 or 256 bits (all nine combinations of key length and block length are possible). Rijndael algorithm is approved by the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) for the Advanced Encryption Standard, FIPS-197. This standard specifies Rijndael as a FIPS-approved symmetric encryption algorithm that may be used by U.S. Government organizations (and others) to protect sensitive information.

ZLib standard defines a lossless compressed data format. The data can be produced or consumed, even for an arbitrarily long sequentially presented input data stream, using only a prior bounded amount of intermediate storage. The format presently uses the DEFLATE compression method. It also defines the ADLER-32 checksum (an extension and improvement of the Fletcher checksum), used for detection of data corruption.

InaCryptCompress is a .NET managed component. It can be used with any .NET development language like C#, Visual Basic for .NET, Managed C++ Extensions for .NET, etc.
