What is a software component? Software components or UI controls are pre-built software libraries or code libraries that you can use in your software application to quickly add new functionality. Embarcadero / CodeGear (Tools & Components)

Embarcadero bought CodeGear in June, 2008, CodeGear was previously a division of Borland, making the Borland IDEs known as: Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder and Borland JBuilder.
