Data Techniques is a leading vendor of imaging and facsimile components for Microsoft Windows developers. Founded in 1984, the company released its first version of the ImageMan Imaging tools in 1991 for use with Windows 3.0. It followed by releasing the ImageMan/VBX product which was the first 3rd party VBX control on the market. Additional updates and a new ActiveX version of the ImageMan product have been released since then have made the ImageMan product a market leading toolkit. In 1994 the company released the FaxMan SDK product to allow developers to easily integrate seamless fax functionality into their applications. Data Techniques tools have been used in market leading applications from companies such as MCI, Lotus, Corel, Xerox, My Software and many other companies.

The products shown here allow you to convert files to various file formats using various image conversion or document conversion techniques. Many of them use a driver approach to this problem to enable you to send an image to a device and in the process convert this image or file to a different file format.

For example you can take a file in almost any format and if you can print it on your system, you can use the driver products listed here to convert it to TIFF format, with multi-page support. Some of the products will allow you to convert to JPG or JPEG, or to handle PDF TIFF file conversion. There are also PDF JPG converter products as well as other file converting utilities.

Some of the PDF conversion products will give you the ability to output basic non-searchable PDF files, but some of the more sophisticated products will allow you to do PDF file conversion and output searchable PDF files.
