TDIWiz moves to VB.NET 2008

TDIWiz (Text-Data-Integration-Wizard) enables software developers to enhance their applications with comprehensive document automation functionality without coding. Microsoft Word documents and emails are created automatically without using Microsoft Word by populating predefined templates with data. The templates are designed in the familiar enviroment and with the functionality of Microsoft Word assisted by the TDIWiz Administration. By using TDWiz demanding tasks can be accomplished within hours instead of days or weeks.

Updates in V1.2

• 1.2 is now a VB.NET 2008 solution and needs .NET Framework 3.5 (instead of VB2005 and Framework 2.0)
• The new TDIWiz-AddIn includes not only the task pane, but also a TDIWiz ribbon. This enables you to activate/deactivate the task pane for each template and to invoke some functionalities via the ribbon menu. At setup you may also select whether the task pane should be shown or suppressed
• Text modules - These are much more than simple “boiler plates”, because the text content and also the rules for processing are stored in the database. Changes can now be performed once and can be applied with one call to a great number of templates
• TDIWiz templates no longer not need to be stored in the file system, you can now also specify a WordprocessingDocument-object as a template; for instance this enables you to use TDIWiz together with SharePoint documents
