VARCHART XGantt adds VS2010 support
Version 4.4 adds visual help when moving nodes, resource scheduling enhancements and two-tone color gradients.
Hierarchical chart in VARCHART XGantt .NET.
VARCHART XGantt is a graphical charting WinForms software component for visualizing critical business activities. It offers clear, concise and detailed process flows. Identification, tracking, scheduling and allocation of tasks and resources over time is also possible. You can create powerful and intuitive interactions that allow your customers to adapt the diagram without editing the data. VARCHART XGantt .NET Edition may be used for in-house applications as well as for products or applications to be sold to third parties.
The following editions are available:
Updates in V4.4
- Time slot for layer movement can be limited
Layers can now be defined to move horizontally merely within a limited time slot. For each individual layer, data fields can be defined to which the layer definition refers. These settings can be made either by the property pages or via the API. - Visual help for nodes moving
In an optimized node arrangement nodes may have to move to different sub-rows. A position-dependent mouse cursor shape now will indicate the sub-row to which the node is going to move. In addition, it can be set whether or not empty sub-rows should be safeguarded. - Enhancements to resource scheduling
Lead and follow-up times that are not linked to resource occupancy can now be defined. The resource scheduler module is now also available as a 64-bit component. - Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4.0
VARCHART XGantt applications can now also be developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. The .NET programming samples also are available for the Visual Studio 2010 version. VARCHART XGantt .NET and VARCHART XGantt ASP.NET can be run on the .NET framework versions 2.0/3.0/3.5. Supporting version 4.0 is a new feature of the VARCHART XGantt 4.4 version. - Two-tone color gradients
Table cells and time scale ribbons now also support two-tone color gradients. Before, a color gradient could only show lighter or darker shades of a single color. - Enhancements to Daylight Saving Time
In the new version, each ribbon and each line grid individually may or may not consider daylight saving time. - New layer shapes
Four new layer shapes simplify the handling of summary bars, since the latter do not have to be assembled by single layers any more. In addition, new layer shapes that show rounded corners were added. They can be combined into more complex node shapes. - New options for print output
In charts that show a hierarchy or grouped nodes, for each level you can define whether a page break should occur either after each group or after the last group which completely fits on a page. By the API or by the printing dialog you can define a time scale section of which the chart is to be printed. The column widths and the position of the separating line between the table and the diagram can be adopted by the printing output if desired. The unit of the page margins in the Page Settings dialog can now be toggled between centimeters and inches via the API. - Events to configure axes
Apart from a numeric axis you can now also apply an annotation axis to a histogram. Two new ObjectDraw events allow configuring the axis' contents by your own programming code instead of using pre-defined standard annotations. - More versatile filter conditions
Filter conditions can now be nested. This simplifies the structure of voluminous conditions on data based formatting. A new API method allows analyzing filter conditions in advance. So you can check whether a filter will deliver the value True or False on a certain activity. - Licensing
Handling developers' licenses has been simplified. A licensing file may now contain several developer licenses at a time. The advantage of this is that to a project using code management systems, no developer specific files have to be allocated any more. In addition, corporate licenses do not refer to developers any more.
