BitRock InstallBuilder turns application packaging and deployment into a fast, easy and cost-effective process for developers. The development tool allows you to quickly create easy to use, multi-platform installers that have a native look and feel across Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, HP-UX, AIX, FreeBSD, IRIX and Solaris from a single build environment. Multiple installation modes allow installers to be run in servers, workstations, and desktops. InstallBuilder also offers RPM integration along with other advanced functionality.

  • Java Specific Functionality
    InstallBuilder 7 now automates the process of bundling a JRE and creating native launchers for Java applications. InstallBuilder also includes built-in functionality for auto-detecting a Java runtime.
  • Improved Usability
    Adds a search function that allows you to search for rules and actions within the InstallBuilder GUI development environment, saving you from having to check the documentation. InstallBuilder 7 also adds the ability to view and edit project file XML snippets directly from the GUI
  • Expanded Documentation
    InstallBuilder 7 has doubled the size of the InstallBuilder User Guide to provide a complete resource for all of the properties, actions, rules, variables and other features of InstallBuilder. Built in variable and action browsers make locating the right functionality easier than ever
