Email2DB improves Security

Read and post MetaData XML via the Email2DB Server using secure HTTPS.

Email2DB is a combined email and message parser, message automation server and email server. You can use Email2DB to read email messages, database records, Twitter feeds, Web pages, RSS feeds, Excel spreadsheets and other sorts of messages from multiple sources. You can then extract useful information from these messages, update your databases and perform automated actions. Automate the processes that need to occur when your business receives incoming messages and dynamically respond to things happening on the Web.

Updates in V3.0

Architecture - Email2DB V3 has been rewritten from the ground up to provide a more scalable and secure architecture.
Edge Server - Handles the retrieval of messages via IMAP, POP3 ,Exchange, Database Pull, Twitter, RSS and HTTP sources.
Message Processor Server - Reads new messages from the Edge Queue and executes all Trigger Actions. The message is then stored in the Email2DB Message Store.
Security - Read and post MetaData XML via the Email2DB Server using, secure HTTPS. This makes editing Accounts and Triggers faster, regardless of the number of Accounts and Triggers you have.
Triggers - Trigger actions are now executed in the order you add them. Actions can be moved up and down the execution order and multiple actions of the same type can be added.

Email from SharePoint using the Email Web Part.

Email Web Part allows users to send email messages directly from your Microsoft SharePoint site. You can notify assigned users of tasks or just send regular email messages. Email Web Part provides the useful ability to send email directly from a List Item. Email fields To, Subject and body can be auto populated with column item values.

New SharePoint 2007 service for routing and collecting incoming e-mails from POP3 Server.

Virto Incoming Email Service allows you to collect mail from multiple POP3 servers and domains. You can also import information from emails into SharePoint lists of any type including custom ones. Fields including: EmailTo, EmailCc, EmailFrom, EmailSubject, EmailHtmlBody can be added to the List automatically and the original email message as well as all attachments are available through the List. Email Document Object Model (EDOM) for developers is supported and you can extract e-mail attachments from Outlook "winmail.dat" files.
