Total Access Components 2010 now supports both 32 and 64 bit versions of MS Access 2010.

Total Access Components is a collection of ActiveX custom controls which allow you to quickly add powerful functionality to your Access applications. Many visual controls can be data bound directly to fields to reflect values graphically. It simplifies Windows System features development by encapsulating complex Windows API calls, giving you the ability to add standard Windows XP and Vista dialogs to your Access applications with little to no code.

Start the right version of Microsoft Access and your database every time, now supports Microsoft Access 2010.

Total Access Startup lets you ensure your users always use the correct version of Access, and automatically update the local copy of your database when you release a new version. Centrally manage your Access applications for everyone on your network. If your users are running your application for the first time, Total Access Startup installs the database for them. If there are other files required, you can also launch a batch file or setup program. When you update your database, your users local copy is automatically updated the next time they launch it. You can also launch a batch file or setup program if additional files need to be installed (different from what you run for the initial installation). If the user doesn't have the right version of Access installed on their machine, Total Access Startup displays a customized message showing the error along with your contact information. This gracefully handles the problem and prevents the user from inadvertently converting the database because the wrong version of Access is started.

Support for Microsoft Office Access 2010 32 and 64 bit Versions - Adds support for launching your MS Access databases using Microsoft Access 2010 while specifying whether to use the 32-bit version, 64-bit version, or either. Because of the significant differences between the 32 and 64 bit versions, your application may only run one or the other. With Total Access Startup 2010 you can make sure your users never launch it with the wrong version.
Supports all Multiple Access Database Formats - Support remains for all Access database formats including: Microsoft Access 2007-2010 ACCDB, Microsoft Access MDB formats and Access Data Projects (ADPs)
Support Multiple Access Versions - Total Access Startup 2010 lets you specify a preferred Access version and older versions. You can specify Microsoft Access 2010 down to Access 2000. If the user has Access 2010 installed, it is launched. If not, it tries to find Access 2007, then Access 2003, etc. If it can't find that, your message for a missing Access version is displayed. This lets you support those with the latest version of Access immediately and those who haven't migrated. Of course, your database must support all the versions you specify. Conversely, you can specify an older Access version and any later versions and it will work in reverse.
Support New Operating Systems - Total Access Startup 2010 supports Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit versions), along with older Windows versions including XP, Vista, 2000, 98, 95, etc. Total Access Startup 2010 supports all operating systems that work with Microsoft Access.

VBA Code Parsing Supports Access/Office 2010 - The VBA code parser that underlies the Code Cleanup, Code Delivery, and Unused Variable Analysis supports the new code and syntax in Office 2010 including the use of conditional compilers (e.g. #IF.. #ELSE.. #ENDIF) that is common for developers supporting both 32 and 64 bit environments. For situations where the same variable is defined more than once based on the conditional compiler directives, the first definition is used (for Code Cleanup and Delivery).
Code Cleanup and Code Delivery Allow Immediate Overwrite - After Total Visual CodeTools performs the analysis to cleanup or deliver your code, it prompts you to review the results before applying the changes. There is a new feature to let you bypass this step if no serious errors were encountered. This eliminates this step so the entire process is completed without intervention. It is especially useful if you've successfully performed this task on a project before.
Code Cleanup Error Enabler and Handler Tags are Customizable - Total Visual CodeTools offers a feature to let you specify comment tags before and after each procedure's error enabler and error handler so you can easily replace them if you decide to change your error management code.
Copy Control Builder Supports Multiple Target Controls - You can now select multiple target controls and automatically generate the code you want to copy to all of them at one time.
Long Text/SQL Builder Converts Tabs and Spaces - The Long Text/SQL Builder lets you retrieve the SQL string from the query of a database you specify. It also offers new options to simplify the conversion of SQL queries and text blocks to VB6/VBA code. Tabs can be automatically replaced by spaces, and extra spaces can be eliminated.
Message Box Builder - The Message Box Builder has a new user interface that supports Windows 7. The system modal option is removed because a message box is always modal, and options for right justification and right-to-left read are added.
Select Case Builder Supports Text Blocks and Numeric Ranges - The Select Case Builder now makes it easy to specify multiple case and variable assignment values. Simply paste a block of text with the values you want and the code is generated. You can also generate a numerical range of case values by specifying the start, end, and step values.
Total Visual CodeTools Menu Location Options - By default, the Total Visual CodeTools menu appears on the main menu bar. Under Standards, you can change this so it resides under the Add-Ins or Tools menu instead.
Tools Available During Debugging - Certain tools such as Clear Immediate Window and help are available when you are debugging your code. Previously, all the tools were disabled.
Default Send To is Remembered - The setting for the default Send To option is no longer under Standards. Total Visual CodeTools automatically saves the last option you select for the next time you open a builder.
Screens are Resizable - The forms for the builders and standards screen are now resizable to maximize their display on your screens.
Redesigned Storage of Standards - Rather than a text file, the standards are now stored in an Access database. This eliminates some of the challenges supporting international languages and double byte characters. If you install Total Visual CodeTools 2010 on a machine which had Total Visual CodeTools 2007, the previous settings are automatically imported. Otherwise, use the [Import Legacy CTS File] button from the Standards options under Manage Settings.

Total Access Emailer allows you to generate personalized email for everyone in your table or query. Messages can be in text or HTML format with attachments. Total Access Emailer allows you to use field values in your email subject and message to create unique, personalized emails for each recipient. You can even maintain an audit trail to know who was contacted when with Total Access Emailer.

Total Access Emailer 2010 includes support for both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Microsoft Office/Access. This includes the Total Access Emailer add-in, and for the Professional Version, the VBA runtime libraries and distribution programs
Compress Attached Files into One Zip File and Password Protect It
Total Access Emailer can automatically compress all your file attachments into one zip file that is emailed to your recipient. You can even add a password for additional security. These features are on the Attachment tab when editing an email blast: The name of the zip file and password can be explicitly provided (example above) or use values from fields in your data source to create a unique file name and password for each recipient
Customize Attached File Names Based on Field Values
Total Access Emailer now supports field references for embedded object names. Previously, the object names were fixed values. Now you can use the value from another field for all or part of its name.
Attachment File Extension Automatically Updated
Additionally, when specifying the output format of an attachment, the extension for the file name is automatically changed based on your selection. So switching from HTML to PDF automatically updates the file name from a *.HTML to *.PDF. If you give your file name a non-standard extension, it is not modified.
International Extended Character Support
Total Access Emailer supports text and HTML emails containing non-Roman, international characters such as: Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Russian and Urdu.
Interactive Code Generator
The new Code Generator lets you interactively select options and build the VBA code to run the currently selected email blast in your application. Simply set your options and paste the code into your module to send and/or preview your email blast.
New Programmatic Interfaces to Improve Email Automation through VBA
Several new VBA functions are available in the Professional Version to provide more options and control for VBA developers. For additional details, visit Sending Microsoft Access Email Blasts Programmatically (VBA):
Send One Email
Rather than creating an email blast from the Total Access Emailer add-in, a new function, TotalAccessEmailer_SendOne, lets you specify the information for sending one email. Provide the FROM address, TO address, subject, message, etc., and the email is sent using your SMTP settings.
Preview Email Blasts
In addition to sending email blasts, you can also preview the emails by sending them to an email of your choice along with the number of records to process. This is similar to the interactive Preview feature from the add-in which you can now incorporate in your application.
Update and Test SMTP Settings
Two new procedures, TotalAccessEmailer_SetPasswords and TotalAccessEmailer_SMTP_IsValid, let you specify the passwords and test the SMTP settings. The sample database includes a form you can import into your application to give your users this feature as well.
