WebUI Studio 2010 R2 for Silverlight and WPF adds calendar, rich content, navigation and data input controls.

WebUI Studio 2010 R2 for Silverlight and WPF is a user interface library that lets you create dynamic and compelling business applications for Silverlight and WPF platforms. Packed with an elegant architecture and an advanced MVVM framework, event routing, commanding, journal-aware navigation, fluid drag-drop and more, and many innovative user interface tools, WebUI Studio Silverlight and WPF (ClientUI) gives all the tools you need to rapidly build great user experiences in less time, with less effort.

WebUI Studio 2010 R2 for Silverlight and WPF is also available as part of WebUI Studio 2010 R2 Premier.

Updates in 2010 R2

ClientUI 4 adds 60 new controls for Silverlight and WPF, making a total of 240 controls for the entire suite. The new release is strongly focused in three areas: rich content and UI controls, advanced input controls, and fundamental navigation controls.

UXCalendar
One of the controls introduced in ClientUI 4 is UXCalendar, a sophisticated calendar control featuring multiple month views, multiple date selection feature and data binding support using MVVM design pattern. UXCalendar sports a sleek yet authentic style and user interface, complete with today link, navigational buttons, week number and adjacent days.
Content and UI Controls
A modern, AJAX-style spinning busy indicator has been added. There are also a number of new button line-ups such as flat button, repeat button as well as a reusable thumb control.
Navigation Controls
A pixel-perfect tab control has been added. It supports most of the expected tabbing features. It also supports tabstrip placement, but with 1/3 smaller XAML size compared to the Silverlight Toolkit or other solutions. It also supports built-in transition and loading source from external XAML. This allows you to create many UI designs, including a Metro UI style tabbing interface (one that smoothly slides to the left or right based on the navigation direction).
Data Input
Nearly 80% of the new controls in this release are about data input. Many editors essential for building line-of-business applications, from masked input, currency editor, date time editor, to numeric up-down and rating control have been added. There are also more advanced input controls such as a multi-range slider bar, a versatile calendar supporting multiple months view, and a memory-efficient file upload control that conforms to RFC 1867 form-based upload specification. It also delivers a number of innovative input controls - an analog clock control with editing mode and a date time picker that offers more intuitive ways to input date and time values. In addition there have been significant enhancements to the existing line-up, including dock panel, content transition, and navigation framework.

WebCalendar Features

Maximum Viewing Versatility
The WebCalendar ViewMode property lets you choose between three views: Month, Quarter, and Year. In Month view, all dates, days, and week numbers for the current month are displayed. In Quarter view, all 12 months are shown, and clicking a month selects the entire quarter containing that month. In Year view, WebCalendar displays a range of years.
Date Highlighting
Four date range highlight modes are available in Month View: Month, Week, Day, and Custom. In Month mode, selecting a date highlights all dates within the current month. In Week mode, selecting a date highlights the entire week. Day mode highlights only the selected day. For more advanced selection requirements, use Custom mode to define your own date range highlight rule.
A Week Is Whatever You Want It To Be

Control the Scroll
WebListBox includes 3 distinct scroll modes. Scroller mode includes back and forward controls located at the list top and bottom - scrolling occurs as users hover over the controls. Scrollbar mode offers the familiar navigation of a standard vertical scrollbar. Scrolling is completely disabled when the mode is None - however, items that don't fit in the listbox will be inaccessible.
Select One or Many
WebListBox supports both single and multiple selection modes. Single mode restricts users to selecting only a single item. Multiple mode supports complex multiple selections - users can select a range of items with just the mouse, or multiple items and ranges by combining the mouse with the CTRL and SHIFT keys.
AutoPostBack
WebListBox fully supports client-server communication through the AutoPostBack property. When the currently selected item is changed, the OnSelectedItemChangedserver-side event is raised, enabling you to obtain the selected item index and perform any required server-side processing. Either FullPostBack or FlyPostBack can be selected through the PostBackMode property.
Two Controls in One
In addition to its data entry capabilities, the WebListBox can serve as an navigation control. Simply assign a URL to an item and specify the target - when the item is clicked the assigned URL will be opened in a new window or the specified IFrame.

Realistically Round Corner Rendering
WebProgressBar renders true rounded corners across all modern browsers. Using the CSS3 border radius property in non-IE browsers, and a custom mechanism for IE browsers, you can simply set the ProgressContainerBarStyle and ProgressBarStyle properties to reliably round corners.

WebRating Features

Adjustable Orientation and Direction
An adjustable orientation allows you to position it either horizontally or vertically - the rating direction is automatically matched to the selected orientation. This versatile component even lets you control the rating direction through the IsReverse property.
Rating Made Easy
WebRating lets you decide just how precisely your users can assign ratings with 3 precision modes: Whole, Half, and Exact Position. In Whole mode, clicking any part of a star will select the entire star. In Half mode, clicking on the first half of a star results in a half-star rating. In the high-precision Exact Position mode, the rating value is determined by the exact location of the click within the star.
Quick Customization
Easily configure WebRating to your preferences in less than a minute through the MinimumValue, MaximumValue, Value, and ItemCount properties. Set the total number of available stars with ItemCount, and the low and high rating values with MinimumValue and MaximumValue. The user rating is returned in the Value property.

In addition to the direction and values, WebSlider puts you in total control of the incremental value labels - display them to the left, right, or both sides of the scale, and they will automatically adjust to the orientation and slider direction settings.
Two Sliders in One

JSON server-side response format
WebScheduler 3 incorporates JSON technology to reduce the amount of data being transferred on each AJAX callback, making the data transfer faster and more efficient. The overall performance is improved by 50% - 70%
Time interval
WebScheduler 3 supports multiple time interval views to satisfy every user. All related events, actions, and UI elements smartly adjust to fit into the time settings. Cycle from 10-minutes to 60-minutes time interval to for a granular view of events, or dial back for the big picture. Time interval is view dependent. This means you can easily set different time interval for each view. Users also have the privilege of changing the interval in runtime through the built-in contextual menu.
Visible hours
Visible Hour eliminates long scrolls on refresh by letting you determine the start and end time of the visible hour region. Event rendering adjusts according to your settings.
Disabled time
Disabled time is a unique feature that lets you block event creation during certain time periods without any complicated code. When the disabled time is specified, a user will not be able to add a new, or edit an existing event, within the disabled time period. There are three disabled time options in WebScheduler 3: global disabled time, resource disabled time, and partial disabled time.
XHTML Support
