Add zip data compression capability to your Windows programs. DynaZip-Max contains data compression components, providing .NET, ActiveX, DLL, VCL and Static Link Library programming interfaces. DynaZip Max Zip and Un-Zip Data Compression Components are fully compatible with the PKWare 2.04g, 4.5 and 5.0 Zip formats which means that your applications can read and write zip files that are fully compatible with all past and current zip file format standards. DynaZip Max is ASP, ASPX and ActiveX / COM compatible and can be used with any programming language supporting ActiveX / COM or .NET.

Included in DynaZip-MAX are ActiveX, .NET, DLL, Static-Link and VCL components, ready to deploy with virtually any contemporary Windows-compatible programming language. Features include: comprehensive zip and unzip capabilities, password protection, easy status monitoring, and many other features.

Now with version 5 there is full compatibility with the latest version of PKWares zip format, version 4.50. Current users of DynaZip: your code will easily transport into the new version. Plus, the new DynaZip MAX DLL, ActiveX and VCL components are fully backward compatible; so that youll find that your present DynaZip applications will work perfectly without modification or recompiling.

Other new features include support for the new Enhanced Deflate (PKWare calls it Deflate64TM), file sizes greater than 4 GigaBytes, the ability to read and write files compatible with version 4.50 of PKZip, flexible multi-volume zipping directly to your hard disk or network drive, new samples and many other important capabilities.

The .NET methodology in DynaZip MAX employs a combination of 100% managed code interface in conjunction with a newly developed super-fast zip/unzip core. This is no COM Callable Wrapper, but is instead a well-thought-out combination of .NET interface and optimized core modules, yielding a .NET component assembly that is both safe and very fast.

The ActiveX components are also a combination that provides full backward compatibility while taking advantage of this very same set of enhanced core modules. As a result, your legacy code (and investment) is protected; you wont find yourself having to re-code your products to begin to use this new set of components. Then when you're ready, you can easily begin to make use of the new features by simply setting the appropriate properties and recompiling.

The DLL, VCL and Static Library components have also been updated to use the new high-performance engine so that you can easily take advantage of all of the new features.

With DynaZip MAX your zip and unzip activities may include:

• Zip/Unzip file to file, file to memory, memory to file and memory to memory
• Password encrypt/decrypt using a 100% zip compatible format
• Enable and use full dual-status monitoring with cancellable operations. We provide sample code to build into your applications, plus an external progress monitor that you can enable with just a single property
• Get information on any item(s) in an existing zip file, with enhanced filtering that allows you to specify which items to include/exclude
• Create multi-volume (spanned) zip files, either to floppy or directly to your hard disk or network drive, ready for use. It will even format your removable disks if you desire
• Generous event procedures provided, allowing you to rename items as they are zipped/unzipped, modify or suppress user messages, and display the progress as the operations are performed, both on a per-item and whole-event basis
• Add or retrieve comments to/from a zip file
• Recurse directories
• Zip in a relative manner, with full control on which part of the path is to be included
• Full support for wildcards, both zip and unzip, you can easily perform complex tasks in a single operation
