Reduce your credit card processing fees and improve reliability. NOVAeServer is a credit card gateway for processing credit, debit and purchase cards. It is designed to communicate directly with Nova Information Systems, bypassing 3rd party providers, their systems, networks, processing and service fees. Using the NOVAeServer offering, merchants can negotiate their fee structure directly with Nova Information Systems. Merchants can also eliminate points of failure and security exposures introduced by 3rd party providers. The end result is that the NOVAeServer product enables merchants to improved reliability and security while reducing their credit card processing fees.
NOVAeServer is a Java class library that supports card-present and card-not-present CC Transactions (credit, debit and purchase cards). The product supports Nova Information System’s Sale, Pre-Authorization, Credit, Force, Void, Current, Previous, Settlement and Purge transaction types.
NOVAeServer has received Nova’s certification for eCommerce (card-not-present) and Retail (card-present) market segments. It has also received IBM’s Certifications for eServer (xSeries, pSeries, zSeries and iSeries), Linux (SUSE and Redhat), WebSphere, and DB2. The product has also been validated running on Windows and several UNIX platforms. It should function on any Java 1.4 or 1.5 enabled system.
Security features supported by the product include AVS, CVV2, Luhn Formula validation, Visa 3DSecure, Mastercard SecureCode, 128-bit AES encryption and MD5 message digests. NOVAeServer uses a communications protocol called secure Sockets, SSL, to encrypt and transmit data between the merchant’s and Nova’s server. Secure Sockets is an industry standard security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. This protocol allows client/server applications to communicate in a way that is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, or message forgery. The encryption level used by NOVAeServer is 128-bit. The connection is managed by NOVAeServer and requires no SSL programming skills.
Detailed documentation is provided which includes a “Fastpath” installation and implementation instructions and source code for sample Java applications and servlets.
The NOVAeServer product supports Nova Information System’s US based credit card gateway. Therefore, to use this offering, the merchant must be clearing their credit card transactions through a merchant account issued by a US bank.
