Create Macromedia Flash (SWF) documents from your .NET applications. C1Flash provides most of the graphical drawing abilities that SWF format supports, and a very important feature – its ease of use. When using the C1FlashCanvas component, the methods and properties for drawing graphics are exactly the same as those available in the .NET Graphics class. You do not need to know how the mechanism Flash describes the graphical content, nor how the complicated SWF tags are organized and written on a file stream – it’s totally transparent to the user. C1Flash is a library that allows you to create Macromedia Flash (.SWF) documents from your applications. The Macromedia Flash file format (SWF) delivers vector graphics and animation over the Internet to the Macromedia Flash Player. The SWF file format is designed to be a very efficient delivery format, not a format for exchanging graphics between graphics editors. It is designed to meet the following goals, with which some other file formats cannot compete:

• On-screen display The format is primarily intended for on-screen display and supports anti-alias’ing, fast rendering to a bitmap of any color format, and animation
• Extensibility The format is a tagged format, so it can be evolved with new features while maintaining backward compatibility with earlier versions of Flash Player
• Network delivery The format can travel over a network with limited and unpredictable bandwidth
• Simplicity The format is simple so that Flash Player is small and easily ported
• Scalability The files work well on limited hardware, and can take advantage of better hardware when it is available. This is important because computers have different monitor resolutions and bit depths
• Speed The files render at a high quality very quickly

Visual Studio 2005 Compatibility delivers new product enhancements by supporting features for Visual Studio 2005 Windows Forms. More specifically, features include Smart Tags, Snap Lines, data binding, GDI+ text, and Managed Themes.

ComponentOne Flash for .Net includes the following components:

•  C1FlashCanvas: A component similar to that of the .NET Graphics class. In three easy steps, C1FlashCanvas provides methods for drawing content to a single frame Flash document or canvas
•  C1FlashMovie: A component used to create flash animation through a series of frames. The user may add, remove and transform graphical objects to a frame(s)
•  C1FlashSlide: A component similar to the .NET Graphics class. It enables the user to create slide shows in the Macromedia Flash file format as well as design the layout of the UI elements
•  C1FlashMovie: A Web control that determines how a flash movie is played on a web page.
