Contour Publisher - Report Update and Delivery

Contour Publisher is the script-based console tool that automates report production. It automatically queries relational database, creates or updates OLAP reports as Contour microcube, MS Excel, MS Word or HTML files, and delivers reports to users in a number of ways.

Contour Publisher can be run on demand, or on scheduled basis.

Update scripts for Contour Publisher are stored in open and comprehensive XML format and can be composed in Contour Reporter or written by a human in any text editor.

Data sources supported by Contour Publisher are:

• Databases: MS SQL,Oracle, DB2, SAS, Access, DBase and others.
• XML file or directory of XML files.
• A set of microcubes.

Easy data collecting

With Contour Publisher you can easily create data collecting and report updating systems.

That is why Contour Publisher is so effective in corporate departments where it exports data on scheduled basis into compact microcubes, which are then delivered to the headquarters, where Contour Publisher merges them into a single cube. 

Another way of collecting data is exporting from departments as XML files, which are then collected in headquarters, and Contour Publisher merges them into one or more microcubes.
