DatMarine - ActiveX DLL - V3.0 by Datamation
Calculate the gross premium for every type of marine insurance policy. The DatMarine component contains nine different functions designed to handle different methods of calculation. It is useful for any large insurance institution or broker that have in-house development. It is also a valuable tool for software developers wishing to provide solutions for the insurance sector.
Different Marine Insurance types require different ways to calculate premiums. In addition, there are policy types that can calculate premium in more than one ways. One example is Hull and Machinery (H&M) where premium can be evaluated either taking into account the InsuredValue or the Entered Tonnage or Both.
The DatMarine component contains nine different calculation methods for calculating premiums. The user, depending on the Policy type can call the appropriate method providing the necessary parameters. The return value is the gross premium.
