Integrate simple fax sending and receiving into your applications. FaxMan Jr. is compatible with virtually all FaxModems and allows you to create faxes from any Windows application using the included FaxMan printer driver. Once installed, sending a fax from a Windows application is as simple as printing to the FaxMan printer. FaxMan Jr. supports importing and faxing of ASCII text and TIFF, DCX, PCX, and BMP image files. You can even chain multiple fax files together into a single fax job.

• Terminal Services Support - Both the FaxMan clients, server and printer drivers are now Terminal Services aware allowing your applications to work automatically under Windows Terminal Services
• .Net Components - New managed .Net Fax and Printer controls make developing .Net based fax applications a snap.
• Class 2.1 FaxModem Support - Support for Class 2.1 and V.34 support boosts Fax transmission speeds from 14.4K to 33.6K. Save time and long distance charges with page transmission times as low as 3 of seconds for a standard page. Recommended modems include the Multitech 5634ZBA V.92 series and Mainpine multi port cards
• Simplified Printing Architecture - The new printer architecture simplifies development and deployment of applications
• Microsoft Vista Support - The new printer drivers include support for Microsoft Vista including both 32 and 64 bit editions

What's new in V1.71?

• New usermode printer drivers support Windows 2003 without any server configuration changes
• New self contained FaxInstall utility for installing FaxMan printer drivers simplifies deployment and installs the new user mode drivers on Windows 2000/XP/Windows 2003 systems.
• Support for PDF import via the new FaxMan PDF Import Addon module. The basic Jr install includes a trial version of the PDF import which adds a watermark to the imported pdf images.
• Several bug fixes.

• Fixed a bug that could cause a GPF when working with Packbits encoded tiffs

• Fixed a bug introduced in V 1.50 of the control which could cause the control to hang if it encountered an RTN response to an EOP/MPS signal.

• Fixed a problem which could cause spurious 'Unable to Get Filename' messages under Win 95/98/NT when printing jobs sequentially with little delay between them.

• Port property defaults to 0 but the acceptable range is 1 - 99. Now the port property defaults to 1.
• ClassX crashes when a newer ImageMan IM31Fax.dil copies over the older version. This has been resolved and ClassX will now work with either the newer or the older DIL.

• Changed the default Reset string to ATZ instead of AT&F.
• Fixed a bug which caused out temporary cover page files to remain on disk instead of being deleted when the fax was completed.

• Fixed a bug which in a specific situation could cause the FaxMan Jr control to continue sending pages past the last page of the fax.
• ClassX crashed when it tried to load resource data on Windows 2000.

• Automatically works with almost all Class 1, Class 2 or Class 2.0 fax modems. FaxMan's auto configuration makes it easy to install and use. For non-standard devices, FaxMan's configuration is easily overridden
• Create faxes from any Windows application using the included FaxMan printer driver. Your application has total control over fax filename and scheduling when using the included Windows 95/98, NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP printer drivers
• Low Level control allows you to send or receive faxes using a comm port handle from another control. Using this feature with TAPI you can create fax on demand systems or systems that recieve faxes using an existing phone session
• FaxMan makes it easy to chain fax files together into a single fax job. Easily create a "fax-on-demand" system
• Supports importing and faxing TIFF, DCX, PCX, BMP and ASCII TXT file formats for maximum flexibility
• Source code for sample applications is included in C++, MS Access, and Visual Basic
• Includes a complete fax viewing application that can be freely redistributed with your application
• Extensive on-line help gives you instant access to FaxMan's documentation
