Licenses

Enterprise Edition: The IBM Rational Build Forge Enterprise Edition license provides you with one administrative server user license (on an authorized user basis). Other user licenses must be purchased separately (see User License Types). Each Enterprise license will support up to 150 concurrent users at any one time. This license permits you to make one back-up copy of the server. You may use the Program solely for Your internal business purposes to support the development by You or your contractors, on computers owned or controlled by You, of software programs to be owned, licensed or sold by You. You or your contractors may not use the Program to provide services or hosting to any third party.
Standard Edition: The IBM Rational Build Forge Standard Edition is licensed on the same terms and has the same features and functionalities as the Enterprise Edition, with the following limitations: (1) concurrent user access is limited to 25 users at any time; (2) no API access is provided, (3) no dynamic server management features are provided; (4) no globally distributed development features are provided.
Starter Pack Edition: The Starter Pack Edition, a packaged offering that was introduced in the previous release for 7.0.1, has been re-named "EXPRESS EDITION" in this release. Existing customers who purchased Starter Pack Edition will be automatically migrated to Express Edition. The Starter Pack Edition is no longer offered as of release 7.0.2.
Express Edition: The Express Edition is licensed on the same terms and includes all features and functionality as stated for the Standard Edition, with the following additional limitations: (1) access is limited to five (5) authorized users that are named on the console; (2) the central management console is limited to supported Windows operating system platforms only; and (3) the optional Quick Report feature is not available for purchase with the Express Edition.
Adaptor Kits Option: The optional Adaptor Kit can allow you to create certain links between third party software and the Program. If you have purchased a license to the optional Adaptor Kit for the Program, you may use the adaptor software only with the Program.

User License Types
Based upon the Program license obtained, You may use the Program as follows:
License Type - Floating User License:
You may utilize the Program, including installation of the Program on multiple clients or servers, provided that the total number of concurrent users does not exceed the total number of Floating User licenses obtained for the Program. You are required to provide a report of all Program use to IBM upon IBM's reasonable request.
License Type - Authorized User License:
An Authorized User License must be obtained for each individual user accessing the Program in any manner. Each Authorized User License is attributable to one and only one individual user. An Authorized User License may only be reassigned for the long-term replacement of personnel. A Program licensed under an Authorized User License may be installed on a single computer, and accessed by multiple users, provided that an Authorized User License has been obtained for each individual user. The Program may be installed and used on a server, provided that a separate Authorized User License is obtained for each individual user accessing the Program. You are required to provide a report of all Program use to IBM upon IBM's reasonable request.

Important - Please note that there will be a delay before you can use this software as a unique License key and software download has to be generated using your order details. The License Key and software download instructions will be sent to you by email as soon as possible.

ComponentSource – Authorised OEM Partner for IBM® Rational Software
ComponentSource is an Authorised OEM Partner for Rational Software products under our IBM OEM Software Agreement Number 168410-7437984. This agreement allows you to buy a license for Rational Software products from us and receive 1^st & 2^nd line support directly from ComponentSource, with 3^rd line support being provided by IBM experts to you, through us. 1^st line support allows you to log an issue with us and get your basic product installation working. 2^nd line support helps you with more complex issues that we replicate here and solve for you with “known work-arounds” or software patches that are available to us as an Authorised IBM OEM Partner. 3^rd line support enables us to escalate 2^nd line issues that we cannot resolve directly to IBM product experts in the USA, Europe or Asia/Pac and they help us to solve the problem. ComponentSource will also be your main point of contact to get updates to any Rational Software products should you need them to fix an issue that arises, provided that you have purchased annual product maintenance from us.

Country Exclusions
ComponentSource is unable to supply products under our IBM OEM Software Agreement for End Users located in the following countries in the Middle East: Adu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar & Saudi Arabia and in Central America & the Caribbean: Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua & Panama.
