Hi,
i want to do performance testing using RPT. i am not able to find the protocol that i need to select. my application is hospital management application and its development is doen in .Net. let me know which protocol should i select to record teh script?

one more thing that i want to know is that is it possible to record teh end user response from RPT? the same thing can be done in Loadrunner by recording the script in QTP and executing that script from loadrunner. is there any such option in RPT?

I get the following error when installing Rational Performance Tester V8.0 on Windows XP.

"Cannot create the Java virtual machine"

This happens during the eclipse installation.

The installation log returns the following detail:

Date: 2009-03-1-T09:58:27+2:00

Severity: x

Message: Eclipse p2 reconciler returned with status=1, check error

logs in C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP\rptse\configuration for more information

Exception Stack Trace:The exception stack trace is not available

The directory mentioned above does not exist. Can anyone please assist ?

hey all...
i am using RFT to test java application which first loads in "System Tray", making its own Icon. i am unable to open that icon in "System Tray" using "Right Click" (as my application Icon needs to open only using Right Click)
please help me out.

Hi ,
I am using RFT version 7.0.
The release notes says it supports Firefox2.0 . I did a Object recognization on this browser for Yahoomail.com.
What i find is it doesn't distinguish between a TextField and Text(Label).Hence the textfied username is returning
GuiSubitemTestObject class.So if u use it it doen't show setText method on this which should be possible.

hi all,

i want to test pdf document contents with IBM Rational functional tester.
i am working on windows platform.
i tried recording script .
i followed following steps
first open Acrobatreader
then open the pdf to test.
But i am not able to select any of pdf contents through RFT.
Can any one please guide me
