V2 of the ImageMan.Net twain controls include the following new features:

  • HTTPUpload class allows uploading images in Multi Page TIFF, Single Page TIFF or PNG formatted files via the ImageFormat property
  • New ImageControl properties such as Brightness, Contrast, Orientation, ScanArea, Resolution, PixelType and PaperSize properties simplify setting common scanning parameters
  • New UserName & Password properties in the HTTPUpload class allow images to be posted to URLs that require HTTP authentication. If the page calling the Post method is using IE Authentication then the post will automatically be made with the user's credentials
  • New Timeout property in the HTTPUpload class allows developers to control the time required before a Post will return an error
  • Support for the .Net Framework 2.0

What's new in V1.26?

  • Added Timeout property to HttpUpload class to provide greater control over upload timeouts when using slow internet connections
  • Added SetScanArea() method to TwainControl class to simplify setting scan area

Support for Internet Explorer allows the controls to be used in browser based applications eliminating the need to manually install applications on client machines. The included HTTPUpload class simplifies uploading scanned images to the server application for processing.
