ImagXpress v12 includes enhanced image processing, annotation, scanning, printing support and more.
ImagXpress continues to reduce development time by allowing developers to add imaging functionality to their applications with very few lines of code.

New and Updated Features:

Memory Optimization
ImagXpress memory allocation has been optimized, resulting in up to 50% reduction in peak memory usage, enabling support for larger images. This means users can now work with larger images than ever before. Settings are user configurable.

Image Processing Performance Enhancement
The Negate image processing algorithm for color images has been optimized to perform up to 50% faster than previous versions of the product.

Performance Enhancements for Large Multi-Page TIFF Images

• Speed optimized insertion and deletion of TIFFs when processing large files.
• Compact File has been greatly speed optimized when processing large files.

Support for reading annotations from Stream
NotateXpress now automatically reads annotations from memory when created on disk or in memory, improving ease of use.

User Option to use PDF Xpress for PDF thumbnail support
ImagXpress offers image-only PDF support, and more advanced PDF functionality is available in the PDF Xpress product. Customers who have purchased PDF Xpress can now specify that it be used by ThumbnailXpress for all PDF thumbnails, offering a more complete PDF solution.

Improved support for some scanner settings

• Corrections when setting some capabilities using a string type.
• Corrections when using undefined image size settings when the scanner supports it.

ISIS Xpress Includes Improved support for passing information to other controls
A new API is introduced that more easily passes information to compatible components, such as ImagXpress.

Improved printer support in the application user interface

• Updated Windows print dialog.
• Corrections for using printers with long file names.

ImagXpress Standard offers a solid set of basic image viewing, printing, scanning, and processing features. Viewing tools, image effects and basic image enhancement are included. Document image cleanup and annotation support are not provided.Includes the ImagXpress, ThumbnailXpress, and TwainPRO components.

The ImagXpress SDK is an all purpose imaging toolkit for building image enabled applications. Accusoft Pegasus' powerful tools allow you to simply add document imaging and photo processing capabilities to your applications.

Compression & File Formats

• Interact with file formats on disk, in memory and URLs
• Support for 1, 4, 8, 16, 24, 32-bit images
• Support for 2 to 16-bit grayscale images, including window leveling
• Support beyond 8-bit, grayscale lossy JPEG
• Unicode (double-byte) characters are supported in text, file, and in thumbnail descriptors
• Convert to PDF or Scan to PDF (containing bitonal, grayscale, and color image data such as JPEG, JPEG 2000 or JBIG2). Users may add on PDF Xpress for enhanced PDF support.
• Support for TIFF format including Group 3,Group 4, JPEG, JPEG Type 7, CCITT RLE, LZW, Pack Bits, and Deflate compressions. Additionally support is available for IPTC metadata, TIFF tag editing, compacting of multiple page files, Wang TIFF annotation compatibility, 9 to 16-bit grayscale, and intrinsic orientation (the file itself contains a rotation angle that can be interpreted during display).

• Password protect images using .pic, an Accusoft Pegasus format that allows greater compression and password capability. These files require Accusoft Pegasus products to view and manipulate them.
