The Instant Messaging Software Development Kit (IM SDK) includes an IM Server Software and an Administration Console to manage your private IM Network. It includes samples with full source code, tutorial lessons and a full Reference Guide to quickly learn the SDK API. You can start a Voice or Video chat session with any public users from: MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ & Jabber (Google Talk).  Voice and Video Chat will work behind most firewalls or NATS. You can manage the bandwidth usage and personalize the quality of your Voice and Video Chat sessions.

IM SDK Editions:

Light Edition:  This edition is aimed at developers looking to add basic Instant Messaging features into any application in order to connect to a private IM network, either for user-to-user or application-to-application communication.  At the Client side enables text Instant Messaging with supporting offline messages, contact list management with group support, presence and typing notification, file and data transfer, and user profile directory search.  Through an Administration Console you can access the IM Server, create, modify & disable users, manage chatting groups and each user features, add contacts to all users contact list, perform usage statistics, and more.  The Data Transfer feature establishes a fast data interchange channel enabling you to add powerful collaboration tools, develop intelligent application-to-application communication or real-time user/application interaction such as bots.  

Light Plus Edition:  In addition to the features included in the Light Edition, this edition includes one to one Voice and Video Chat for private contacts.  These features incorporate the latest Video and Voice over IP (VOIP) using the streaming technology.  Voice and Video Chat will work behind most firewalls or NATS. You can manage the bandwidth usage and personalize the quality of your Voice and Video Chat sessions. 

Premium Edition:  In addition to the features included in the Light Edition, this edition includes interoperability with the public IM Networks.  The SDK directly connects to the public IM Servers: MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ & Jabber (Google Talk) enabling instant messages exchange, add any public contacts to your contact list and send files feature.  In this edition, the IM server can also be integrated with your existing Active Directory, NT Domain or any custom user directory to authenticate users with their existing account information. 

Premium Plus Edition:  In addition to the features included in the Premium Edition, this edition includes one to one Voice and Video Chat for private and public IM Network contacts.
