itGrid Icon Display For Nodes brayogee [Kenya] 30-Sep-2005 17:25:50

Hi,
Adding an icon using the AddItem method works well, however I'm having issues doing the same for a Node.I have a hierarchical display of data which requires this.
Who knows how to add an icon to a Node of the VB 6 itGrid?

I'd appreciate any assistance on this. Thanks.

When attempting to instal the evaluation version of itGrid I get the following error:

Error 1904
itGrid6.ocx failed to register
HRESULT -2147023898

I am running Windows XP, Access 2003 and Visual Studio .NET 2003, all of which are fully up to date.

Can you offer me resolve this please.

I placed the control which i found in the HTML folders example aswell as the license & cab file in the same folder

I've got an asp not an asp.net page, with a recordset which needs to fill the it grid...

What code do i need to add in server side to populate the control???

Downloaded v.1.5.1, which installed and demoed flawlessly!

I then tried to setup a simple grid in vb.net. Two columns, with headers/caption, and failed :-(
According to examples/doc, you can use itGrid.TextMatrix to define columns, but this method isnt available on the itGrid interface?

Thought the eval might distribute an outdated version of itGrid, went to the it-partners web site for the newest, and guess what ... No web site???
Is this for real?

Please help.

Hi Jesper,

Some methods are renamed in the runtime-callable wrapper that is created when you first use itGrid in .Net. For example: TextMatrix is renamed get_TextMatrix and set_TextMatrix. If a method that you are expecting does not exist, it has been renamed. This is .Net behaviour, not itGrid. Luckily it does not affect too many methods/properties.

itGrid 1.5.2 will contain more detailed information regarding use of itGrid (and itCombo) in .Net.

i tried to use this producto with visual foxpro 7, and every time i use it , visual foxpro generates a fatal error, is not compatible at all, can you explain

Yes,

In this case some pretty stange container notifications were to blame. We have fixed this issue in itGrid 1.5.2 (which is due soon). It has been fully tested in VFP 7.0.
