WhosOn can be used by any business that has a website. It allows you to watch visitor activity on your website in real time (referred to as 'live stats'), to engage online customers and it allows your visitors to chat to operators within your business as they are browsing. Visitors can request live chat sessions with operators without leaving your site or downloading anything.

Real Time Web Visitor Tracking With Live Stats
You can watch visitors arrive at your site in real time and move from page to page. You can instantly view information about the visitor. You can also monitor visitors filling in web forms or clicking links, and you can see when visitors leave your site in real time.

Proactively Engage Online Customers
You can send visitors proactive 'Invite' requests asking them if they need assistance. WhosOn can even send automatic invites based on what the visitor has searched for or which pages they have viewed. Proactive invites can contain custom text that is specific to each visitor.

Live Chat
WhosOn includes a full featured live chat server as standard, allowing you to easily add live chat functionality to your web sites. Use live chat to enable your visitors to communicate with you as they browse. This can help to increase sales and conversions and improve customer support. Live chat translation is also available as an add-on service. This enables visitors to chat to you in their own language.

Prospect Tracking
WhosOn can also be setup to detect 'Prospects' and 'Customers' by watching which pages a visitor is requesting. You can run web analytics reports on the number of prospects and customers detected against criteria such as referrers and keywords.

Web Analytics
WhosOn also includes historical web analytics reporting. Not only does it show a 'live' view of your web site, but you can run web analytic reports in the same was as traditional 'log analyzer' products.

Error Alerting
WhosOn will also inform you in real time of any page errors or other exceptions, and it can alert you of any click fraud activity and even send click fraud notices to visitors.

WhosOn can track your website visitors using the standard log files from your web server, or by using embedded code in your web pages themselves (this is often referred to as 'page tagging'). You can also track visitors by using server-side ASPX/PHP code.

An Edition To Suit All Types And Sizes Of Business

Installable Edition
You can buy the WhosOn server outright and run it on your own server. This is a totally self contained solution and uses no external services, so has no on-going costs. The Installable Edition enables you to monitor live stats, view web analytics reports and provide visitor live chat on any number of websites. The Installable edition requires you to have a Windows 2000/2003 Server with a dedicated Internet connection. 

Hosted Edition
This is the same product as the Installable edition, except we run the WhosOn server for you and you download and run the WhosOn 'Client'. The Hosted Edition has all the features and benefits of the Installable Edition, but with the ease of setup of a hosted service. The WhosOn ISP Edition is a special version of the WhosOn Installable Edition that is designed to be used by ISP's, ISV's, Web Designers and Content Management providers. It runs on your own servers and allows you to provide, and charge for, WhosOn Hosted Live Web Statistics, Live Chat and Web Analytics Services to your own customers. The ISP edition offers excellent revenue potential with little up-front costs. There is also a White (private) Label option allowing you to use your own name throughout the application instead of 'WhosOn'.

WhosOn Installable Edition - Self Hosted
The WhosOn Installable edition is a completely self-contained, self hosted live stats, web analytics and visitor live chat solution. It is installed and runs on your own server and does not depend on any third party services and so has no on-going costs. The Installable edition requires a Windows 2000/2003, XP or Vista machine with a permanent Internet connection. The Installable Edition can monitor any number of websites from a single WhosOn PC. The WhosOn 'Client' can be run on remote PC's to watch live stats and to engage visitors with invites and live chat.

Watch Live Web Stats
WhosOn allows you to watch your web site visitor activity in real time. See visitors arriving at your site and move from page to page. See how they found your site, what keywords they used and where they are in the world. WhosOn will display GEO-IP against each visitor, including country, city, region and organization name. You can see if the visitor has been to your site before and if they are a prospect.  

Engage Your Visitors
WhosOn enables you to proactively engage your visitors by sending them popup friendly 'invite' messages. Visitors can click the message to start a chat session. You can send custom messages that are unique to each visitor. WhosOn can also automatically send custom invite messages to visitors when specific conditions are met (for example, visitor arrives from a certain city or via a certain PPC campaign, or used specific keywords).  

Live Web Chat
WhosOn enables you to add 'live help' to your web site. Visitors can click a link to start chatting to operators within your organization as they browse your site. The chat client works in all browsers and does not require any plugins.

Live Chat Translation
WhosOn can translate chat text in real time. The visitor and operator can chat in their own language, with the WhosOn Server performing the live translation in the middle. Live translation enables you to widen your available market. WhosOn can currently translate between the following languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Greek, Dutch, Swedish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean &Arabic. 

Click To Call Back
Visitors on your web site click click a link to request a call back from someone in your organization via a simple form. WhosOn automatically notifies operators via popup, email and/or SMS that they need to make a call back at the correct time. All call back requests and visitor contact information are stored in the WhosOn database.

If you use Skype VOIP, you can even call the visitor directly from within the WhosOn Client.  

Monitor PPC Campaigns
WhosOn enables you to track visitors based on the PPC (pay-per-click) campaign that they used to find your site. You can create real-time 'Alerts' for each PPC campaign and you can view historical analysis reports.  

Monitor Prospects
WhosOn can watch for visitors that view certain key pages on your site and spend x minutes viewing. This can be over multiple visits. WhosOn can then flag these visitors as 'prospects' and alert you in real time. WhosOn can send custom invite messages to prospects. You can also run reports showing the number of prospects per PPC campaign, referrer and keyword.  

Detect & Deter Click Fraud
WhosOn enables you to detect click fraud as it happens. You can send visitors who you suspect of click fraud a warning message. WhosOn can also automatically detect click fraud and send warning messages to the visitor.  

Analyze Your Web Traffic
WhosOn also provides historical web analytic reporting with over 70 traffic analysis reports. Both Windows based and Web based report viewers are included. WhosOn can also automatically send daily, weekly and monthly traffic analysis reports direct to your inbox in PDF or HTML format.

You can purchase the developers kit with any Installable Edition. This enables you to customize it in any way you choose and/or embed live help into other applications. You can customize the chat client and create custom versions of the WhosOn Operator Client application.

Licence Agreement
This source code and documentation is supplied for internal use only (in other words, it can only be used on your own websites). You may not distribute the source to other companies without permission from Parker Software. The source code and documentation may only be used in conjunction with your own copy of WhosOn. The source code must not be modified to use with other competing products. Apart from this, you may modify the project in any way you choose. You can also embed the chat into other applications if required. If you add any cool new features, please let us know.
