PL/SQL Debugger is now available as part of KeepTool.
All you need to test and debug PL/SQL code. PL/SQL Debugger gives PL/SQL programmers an interface for testing their programs. It lets you set breakpoints and define watches for variables, or examine the value of a variable at any time. Breakpoint lines are color-coded and can be removed or reset at will. In addition to the source display, there are separate windows that display variables being watched, breakpoints and the call stack.
PL/SQL Debugger has been designed with the same emphasis on usability as Hora. This ensures that both tools are closely integrated. Using Hora and the Debugger together, you will be on your way to creating to creating efficient PL/SQL code.
You can control the execution of code on the server by creating an anonymous PL/SQL block, which can then call procedures and functions to be tested. You can run PL/SQL code until a breakpoint is reached. You can then step through single statements, and into and out of procedures, functions, and triggers.
When debugging within several levels of nesting, you should always keep an eye on the call stack window, which shows the name and current source code line number of each procedure call that the program execution has not finished with.
When the program execution pauses, you can see and modify the values of variables that are currently in scope. You can also add variables to the watch list window. The Debugger will automatically show their values each time that program execution stops.
