Capture and verify addresses quickly and accurately. PostCodeSoftware SDK is a library of functions which access the PostcodeSoftware database. It allows you to integrate PostCodeSoftware into your own application. Example code is given for VB.NET, C#.NET and VB6.  PostcodeSoftware can be integrated into larger applications using the Postcode.dll file and can also be accessed as a com object.  Postcode.dll is registered in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) on installation.

PostcodeSoftware Desktop product provides:

• Application accessed from your desktop
• Can be implemented into other applications

PostcodeSoftware offers two desktop products which are Street or Premise level solutions.

• The Street Level License allows a user to query a postcode and return the address to street level
• The Premise level license allows a user to query a postcode and returns the full address for that postcode including building/company name. You can then select the correct address from the list.

Display the address for any postcode in the UK
Using the postcode lookup feature means you'll never have to key an address again. Portray a more professional image and waste no more time miss-spelling addresses. Simply key in the postcode and click 'Lookup' and the address details will be displayed with the cursor placed at the start of the first line for you to key the house name or number. If the organisation has unique use of it's postcode, the organisation name is also shown. Cut and paste into any document as required.

Display the location of address on maps
Using the various buttons on the Links tab, information from Multimap, Google, Streetmap and Up My Street can be displayed (Internet access required).

Frequently Asked Questions:
1/. Do I get support once I have purchased the software?
YES - Support is included until your license expires. Customer support is free and the publisher’s help desk can be contacted Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (GMT) and email support is also available.

2/. How do I get new updates for the software?
Updates for PostcodeSoftware are available quarterly. Any updates that the Royal Mail do to the postcode database will be available through the software ensuring that your searches will always have the most up to date information available. When a new version of the software is available you will be alerted via email. This email will contain the new link to download the update from. Please note this location will alter each time and will not be the same as the last update location.

3/. Will the PostcodeSoftware interact with other software that I use?
YES - Postcode software can be integrated with other software applications.

4/. Can I view maps and local information based on the postcode entered?
YES - Through the links tab in the software you have buttons that will provide direct links to Goggle Maps, Multimap, Streetmap and Up My Street. Simply click on the buttons and a window will appear with the map or local information based upon the postcode you have entered into the software (Internet connection required).

5/. Does the software follow the Royal Mail standard address format?
YES - By default the software outputs the address in Royal Mail standard address format. However this can be altered by selecting tools at the top in the software and clicking on options. Here you can alter the format in which your addresses are outputted.

6/. I have had a problem with my computer, how do I to re-install the software?
If you need to move the software to another machine or reinstall again, you will need to contact support@componentsource.com and tell us that the software needs to be activated again.

7/. Can I use PostcodeSoftware over Terminal Services?
YES - The software can be installed over terminal services. There is a minimum quantity of 10 licenses that needs to be purchased for this facility.

8/. Can I find an address if I only know part of the postcode and the town?
YES - If you click on the search tab in the software you can search on town, locality and part of the postcode. This will pull through possible addresses at street level which you can scroll through to find the correct one.

9/. What happens when my years license runs out?
You need to purchase another years license.
