Upload files to an IIS Web server. SoftArtisans FileUp Standard Edition allows users with a Web browser to transfer files of any format from their local hard drive via HTTP to a Web server. Use SoftArtisans FileUp to receive and process user input while staying within the context of your Active Server Pages application. FileUp supports files up to 4 GB in size within ASP or ASP.NET with minimal server resources. FileUp also includes a download component which allows you to download files from the Web server to the user's browser with better security, but without complicated registry settings.

Transactional Uploads are a key new feature of SoftArtisans FileUp. Transactional Uploads offer the following important advantages:

• Guaranteed synchronization between upload processing and database transactions
• Full Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) integration
• Vastly simplified error handling and guaranteed integrity when uploading multiple files
• Performance Monitor Counters allow you to precisely monitor upload and download performance. Upload size and duration can be precisely monitored
• MacBinary Decoding. For Macintosh clients, full MacBinary is supported. Files uploaded from a Macintosh will be stored with proper NTFS streams intact
• Recursive Directory Uploads. When used in conjunction with our client-side tools (SoftArtisans JFile and SoftArtisans XFile), entire directory trees can be uploaded in a single, easy-to-use operation
• Uploads to memory. Uploads can be stored in memory, rather than disk for better performance and security
