I am looking for a data-bound treeview control and have reviewed several. The problem I find with most is that you have almost no control over formatting once you switch from unbound to bound.

On the plus side, the control correctly read the database schema and displayed the data correctly. On the minus side, there is no ability to manage the appearance of rows or columns, or add node labels, images, etc. If the control would extract the rows (tables or views) and the columns in each one and provide design-time properties for managing their appearance (or nonappearance if desired), and allow 'virtual' rows' to provide labels and to collapse/expand the real rows under them, it would be great.

The documentation seems very thorough with respect to the properties and methods, and there was a pretty good demo; however, it was mostly virtual or unbound mode. The only data-bound demo was a grid-view, and it just emphasized the original problem - no control over the formatting at design time.

It appears possible to use virtual rows with relational data, but lots of coding to do that, I think.
