MIMEBlackbox package of SecureBlackbox
MIME is a standard for format of e-mail messages. MIME was designed to allow various types of information, including multimedia, to be included into e-mail messages. Also MIME's goal is to provide a way to extend present functionality of e-mail without breaking existing implementations.

MIMEBlackbox is fully conformant to existing MIME standards as defined by RFC 2045 to 2049.

Unlike other solutions, MIMEBlackbox allows your application to parse and assemble e-mail messages of any complexity and not just common "text+attachments" schemes.

MIMEBlackbox supports S/MIME extensions out of the box (with help of included base functions of PKIBlackbox). OpenPGP/MIME extension is available when OpenPGPBlackbox is used.

MIMEBlackbox was designed to be extensible, so it contains handlers for S/MIME, OpenPGP/MIME and UUE and lets you create custom handlers for other encoding formats (For example, BinHex or XXEncode).

As amount of spam grows day by day, various solutions are offered to prevent or counteract this (often illegal) activity. MIMEBlackbox includes support for DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) technology, the most recent and promising solution, offered to fight spam.

MIMEBlackbox is offered as an individual package and as a part of Professional, Standard and Data Security packages.

MIMEBlackbox .NET Feature list
General MIME features, supported by MIMEBlackbox are:

• parsing and assembly of MIME-conformant mail messages of any complexity;
• (optional) on-demand decoding of encoded message parts;
• stream-based processing, which lets you handle huge amounts of data without significant memory requirements

S/MIME functionality lets you:

• support S/MIME versions 2 and 3;
• sign and encrypt MIME messages or message parts using X.509 certificates;
• decrypt and verify MIME messages or message parts using X.509 certificates;
• support for Cryptocards and USB Crypto Tokens

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Message) techonology support includes the following functions:

• generation of DKIM keys (public and private);
• creation of records suitable for placing to DNS;
• signing of messages using DKIM;
• verification of messages using DKIM information obtained from the DNS

PKI Infrastructure is used by MIMEBlackbox for S/MIME functions and is provided by PKIBlackbox, base functions of which are included into MIMEBlackbox.

Open PGP format is used by MIMEBlackbox for OpenPGP/MIME functions and is provided by OpenPGPBlackbox (available as a separate individual package or as a part of SecureBlackbox Professional, Standard or Data Security packages).

Available editions
MIMEBlackbox is available in several editions for various software platforms.

• .NET edition. This edition of MIMEBlackbox includes pure managed components, carefully optimized to achieve maximum performance, comparable to native processor code. .NET edition requires .NET Framework 4.0, .NET Framework 3.5, .NET Framework 3.0, .NET Framework 2.0, .NET Framework 1.1, Silverlight 4, Silverlight 3, Mono 2.0, Mono 1.0, .NET CF (Compact Framework) 3.5, .NET CF 2.0, .NET CF 1.0. .NET edition can be used on ASP.NET server systems, Windows desktop systems, Windows Mobile PDAs, Silverlight-enabled browsers, on Linux and MacOS X systems with Mono installed.
• VCL edition. Blazingly fast native Delphi (Pascal) components for building native Windows and Linux applications. Usable with Delphi, C++ Builder or FreePascal (Win32 or x64, Linux/x86 or Linux/x64). VCL edition works on any computer with Windows 98 and later or with Linux kernel 2.4 and later.

Support requests from customers with Priority support are served ahead of requests from regular customers and evaluation version users.
