What's new in SecureBlackbox 9.0

General changes:

• Distributed Cryptography add-on lets you sign server-located documents and data using client's X.509 certificate without sending the data to the client or transferring the certificate to the server
• HTTPBlackbox server component has been added. This component lets you build your own custom Web server
• WebDAVBlackbox package was added. It offers components for connecting to remote WebDAV servers as well as for creating your own WebDAV server
• MailBlackbox package has been created with SMTP client and the newly added POP3 client component
• New LDAPBlackbox package lets you access and manage X.509 certificates and OpenPGP keys using LDAP protocol
• Socket-based components got optional support for Punycode, standard for encoding IDN, International Domain Names (non-latin names)
• TElSocket component and socket-based components now support NTLM and Digest authentication when connecting via HTTPS proxy (WebTunneling)
• OpenPGP, ZIP, FTPS and SFTP components support file system virtualization layer in their file operations. Virtualization lets you limit and control access of the components to the file system - this is the important security measure for server components that handle file system requests
• FTPS and SFTP components support regular expressions and multiple masks in their file operations. Regular expressions are supported in .NET edition and VCL edition in Delphi XE and C++Builder XE
• .NET assemblies for Windows Phone 7 have been included as experimental

PKIBlackbox:

• Added TElCAdESProcessor class, a high-level CAdES signature creation and processing component

Cloud components:

• Added compression support
• Added no-encryption mode

FTP/FTPS client:

• Significant enhancements have been made, including file and multi-file operations, ListDirectory method, methods for checking file and directory existence and more

HTTP/HTTPS client:

• Now it's possible to POST or PUT data by provifing them on-the-fly, rather than by preparing the complete data stream. This allows you to send the data, whose size is initially not known or when the amount of data is large or when the data is generated on-the-fly

SecureBlackbox (.NET edition) is a comprehensive component collection for network and document security.

SecureBlackbox is split to several packages:

• SFTPBlackbox - securely transfer files and perform remote file system operations using SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol, Secure File Transfer Protocol).
• SSHBlackbox - access remote SSH servers using SSH2 or SSH1 protocols or build your own SSH server.
• FTPSBlackbox - transfer files securely using FTP (RFC 959) and FTP-over-SSL (also known as FTPS, FTP/SSL, as defined in RFC 2228) protocols.

• PDFBlackbox - compress, encrypt and sign PDF files. Public Key (X.509 certificates) and symmetric encryption is supported. PKCS#1 and PKCS#7 signing using X.509 certificates is supported.
• SSLBlackbox - client and server components that provide complete support for SSL2, SSL3 and TLS1.x.
• HTTPBlackbox - access web sites via HTTP and HTTPS protocols with Gzip compression.
• MIMEBlackbox - compose and parse MIME messages with optional S/MIME or PGP/MIME security extensions.
• PKIBlackbox - generate and manage certificates, certificate revocation lists, certificate requests. Complete support for Public Key Infrastructure including Windows Certificate Storages and cryptographic hardware.
• EDIBlackbox - exchange business information via AS2 and AS3 protocols.

• OfficeBlackbox - encrypt or digital sign MS Office (binary and OOXML), OpenOffice (ODF) and XPS documents. This is .NET edition, which can be integrated into Visual Studio 2010, 2008, 2005, 2003, Delphi Prism. It requires .NET Framework 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0, 1.1, Silverlight (4 or 3) Mono (2.0 or 1.0) or .NET CF (3.5, 2.0, 1.0).

Encrypt and decrypt files and text using PGP-compatible algorithm
Your data can be sored or transferred in encrypted form. SecureBlackbox supports OpenPGP -- one of the most popular encryption and signing standards. You can extend your application with security functions such as signing, encryption, decryption and data verification using OpenPGP keys.

Encrypt and sign documents in PDF and XML formats
With SecureBlackbox you can extend your XML processing applications with XML-compliant password-based, certificate-based and OpenPGP-based encryption, signing and timestamping. Perform processing of your XML documents according to XMLEnc, XMLDSig and XAdES specifications. Add password-based and certificate-based encryption, certificate-based signing, timestamping and compression to your PDF documents.

Encrypt and sign office documents
If you have an application that creates or processes MS Office, OpenOffice or XPS documents, you can extend your product with digital security features such as strong encryption and digital signing (and signature verification) of created or processed files.

Create and parse MIME-compliant mail with security extensions

Support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), manage X.509 certificates and storages
SecureBlackbox lets you add PKI functionality to your application. This includes certificate management, signing, encryption, timestamping, signing of executables. You can also build server-side functions for timestamping and online certificate status validation into your applications. What is a package?
SecureBlackbox includes a number of components that help you solve various digital security tasks. A package in SecureBlackbox is a group of components, which are used for the one or several similar functions. For example, PKIBlackbox package includes components to work with X.509 certificates, certificate storages etc.

Some packages include one or several other packages. For example, XMLBlackbox includes components for XML security and also includes PGPBlackbox package, which provides components for OpenPGP standard.

There also exist several large packages, each including several individual packages. They are Professional, Standard, Transports and Data Security.

How are packages licensed?
Each package can be licensed separately. For example, you can purchase a license for SSLBlackbox client-only package, when you need only HTTP(S) or FTP(S) client component. Large packages (Professional, Standard, Transports and Data Security) offer a cost-effective way to get the license for many functions at a very moderate cost.
