Seekford Solutions, Inc.'s HTTP Wizard V3.0 provides programmers an easy to use and high level access of HTTP servers (Web servers). The control works in any ActiveX container and has no dependencies other than itself*. With the new Asynchronous operation and the threaded synchronous version, your application should never hang. This new version provides basic support for communicating via SSL so your data transmissions can be secure and safe as well as normal cleartext operations.

The control is very programmer friendly and even has time saving features like auto-connect and disconnect for methods and simple to use method calls like the EasyFileUpload method. Everything is spelled out and explained in the language of the controls design but it also comes with a linked help file for more detailed explanations.

One of the great features of the control is the ability to POST forms to Web sites . This allows you to register users on your custom scripted page, or upload files to your site or even send data so your website can update a database. The possibilities are endless and HTTP Wizard SSL v3.0 makes it easy and possible.

HTTP Wizard +SSL v3.0 allows you to:

• Upload file(s) and variable(s) data to a Web server by POSTing it
• Download files and pages from a Web server
• Use all of the HTTP/1.1 RFC spec commands. i.e. GET, POST, HEAD, TRACE, DELETE, PUT
• Use a custom command on the server that is not already implemented in HTTP Wizard. i.e something new, like TIME
• Get just the headers of a page to see if it has changed, saves download if not
• Great for transmitting data to a database on a web server, by posting the data
• Use proxy servers with basic authentication
• Use basic authentication for web resources
• Connect using the Secure Socket Layer to SSL enabled servers
• Call methods Asynchronously or synchronously without hangs

• Updated - Support for SOCKSv4 and SOCKSv5 FireWall proxies

The object structure is very well defined and easy to use.

HTTP, or Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, is used for the communication between a client and a server that allows the client to access resources on the server with a defined behavior for the communication. There are different commands that can be issued to the server for processing, and each command elicits a different behavior.

With one line of code, you can upload a file to any URI. It is also easy using the FormBuilder object to create a Form's information and POST it to the server for processing.

HTTP Wizard SSL makes this process easy and allows a developer to take full control of the power of HTTP.

This control works with any ActiveX container such as Delphi, Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro, Visual C++, and more and even works in ActiveX scriptable languages such as VBScript. You can also use this in your HMI applications like Cimplicity or RSView.
