Look up and filter information from lists in other sites. SharePoint Cross-Site Lookup allows you to look up information from lists in another sites and filter Cross-Lookup fields by selecting list views. It lets users lookup from another site within a site collection and supports conversion from a SharePoint Cross-Site Lookup column to a default SharePoint Lookup type, which means you can alter the content of Cross-Site Lookup columns in the datasheet view. SharePointBoost's SharePoint Cross-Site Lookup find-as-you-type function makes all the objects in the Dropdown list with the same letter as the input word shadowed, which enables them to be selected quickly. You can also filter values of Cross-Site Lookup columns by selecting a list view of the looked-up list.

SharePoint Cross-Site Lookup

Why Do you need it?
The default SharePoint Lookup only supports lookup within the same site, so it will be limited when a user wants to lookup from another site. In addition to other SharePoint Cross-Site lookup products with lookup cross site function, SharePointBoost Cross-Site Lookup provides three useful features.
- SharePointBoost Cross-Site Lookup users can convert Cross-Site Lookup column into default SharePoint lookup type when they need to edit contents of Cross-Site Lookup column in datasheet view.
- When users select objects, they do not have to scroll down through all objects. The find-as-you-type function makes SharePoint users easily select objects by one keystroke; all the words with the typed letter is shadowed and filtered in the dropdown list.
- If the looked-up list is much larger than usual, it is difficult for SharePoint users to choose one object from countless objects and the drop down list will be too long. SharePointBoost Cross-Site Lookup's Filter function helps resolve this problem by supporting SharePoint users choosing a list view of the looked-up list to quickly find the object.
