A seamlessly integrated Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution. SourceGear Fortress is a cross-platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution for small and medium-sized teams. The version control features are based on the mature technology from SourceGear Vault which has been continually improved since its initial release in February 2003. Fortress features include: integrated ALM solution, Version control, Work item tracking, Project management, Build tracking and more. Fortress also offers full-featured integration with popular IDEs like Visual Studio 2005 or Eclipse (on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris).

SourceGear Fortress is an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution for small and medium-sized teams, combining the source control features of Vault and the work item tracking features of Dragnet into a single product with tight integration. The version control features are based on the mature technology from SourceGear Vault which has been continually improved since its initial release in February 2003.

On the server side, Sourcegear Fortress builds on the stable technologies from existing SourceGear products including the version control features from SourceGear Vault as well as the features of SourceGear Dragnet for work item tracking and project management. The Fortress server has one installer, one login system and one place to manage license keys.

On the client side, Sourcegear Fortress inlcudes new applications for the most popular IDEs, presenting the user with a seamlessly integrated experience, including:

Client for Visual Studio 2005 is a full-featured way to access the Fortress server. It provides version control and work itemtracking functionality inside the Visual Studio environment.

For Java developers and crossplatform teams, Fortress includes an Eclipse plugin, offering the same features and functionality as the Visual Studio client. The Eclipse client is supported on Windows, Linux, Solaris, and Mac OS X.

For developing scripts and custom solutions, Fortress includes an easy-to-use client API, accessible from either Java or .NET.
