What’s new in Stimulsoft Report 2012.3?

• Culture Operations in Globalization - Now has two new functions "Get culture" and "Set culture." The "Get culture" function can be used to fill in the current report culture with values from the report. The "Set culture" function can be used to apply a customized culture directly to the current account when designing a report.
• New Page Function - Just right click the context menu to create a new report page. Other page controls are located in the menu, for example, Delete Page, Change Page Order and others.
• Keep First Row Together - In Master-detail reports it may be necessary to keep detail bands along with the master band. The KeepDetails property is used for this.
• Navigation - When exporting a report, you can add hyperlinks and bookmarks. This simplifies the navigation of complex and large report and allows you to instantly jump to the desired section of the report.
• Strikeout Style - Added a feature to show strikeout text in Conditions. This option extends the functionality of the Condition and improves text readability.
• Collapsing in Cross-Tab - The ability to collapse the text blocks in Cross-Tab reports is now available via the Interaction property.

Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web – reports designer for the Web

Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web  is the a report designer that allows you to edit reports completely via a Web browser. There is no need to install the .NET Framework, ActiveX components or any other special plug-ins on your client’s machine. All you need is a Web Browser.

It is very simple to add report editing support to your Web application. To add the report designer to your ASP.NET application all you need to do is place one non-visual ASP.NET component on your form. Then you just need one line of code to run the designer in a browser. Also there is no need to add report saving/loading event handlers (into the database, for example). Only one .Net assembly with a designer will be added to your project.

What are requirements of Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web to a client? There are only two things: a Web browser and Flash Player 9. And since Web browsers which support Flash Player technology are present on all platforms, one can say that Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web will work everywhere. And what about servers? ASP.Net 2.0-3.5 hosting is required. But there is no need to install distributives or com objects on the server, there is no need to change settings.

The following features are available: fully functional Ribbon interface, visual component builder, undo-redo functions, functions for working with clipboard, tabular editing, zooming, and many more.

Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web is not a separate product and cannot render reports. For this you should have either Stimulsoft Reports.Net or Stimulsoft Reports.WPF. Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web creates reports and Stimulsoft Reports.Net or Stimulsoft Reports.WPF renders the reports. Thanks to the fact that created reports are compatible with reports created in Stimulsoft Reports.Net or Stimulsoft Reports.WPF, you can edit and render the same reports in both Web applications and desktop applications.
