What’s new in Stimulsoft Report 2012.3?

• Culture Operations in Globalization - Now has two new functions "Get culture" and "Set culture." The "Get culture" function can be used to fill in the current report culture with values from the report. The "Set culture" function can be used to apply a customized culture directly to the current account when designing a report.
• New Page Function - Just right click the context menu to create a new report page. Other page controls are located in the menu, for example, Delete Page, Change Page Order and others.
• Keep First Row Together - In Master-detail reports it may be necessary to keep detail bands along with the master band. The KeepDetails property is used for this.
• Navigation - When exporting a report, you can add hyperlinks and bookmarks. This simplifies the navigation of complex and large report and allows you to instantly jump to the desired section of the report.
• Strikeout Style - Added a feature to show strikeout text in Conditions. This option extends the functionality of the Condition and improves text readability.
• Collapsing in Cross-Tab - The ability to collapse the text blocks in Cross-Tab reports is now available via the Interaction property.
• Chart Series Labels - It is now possible to set special conditions to customize charts. Conditions can be set using the Conditions property of the series label.
• TextInCells Component and CanGrow Property - The TextInCells component may increase its size if the information contained in it does not fit.

Stimulsoft Reports.Web – report generator for Web - Stimulsoft Reports.Web is reporting tool designed to create and render reports on the Web. You can create reports. You can display reports. You can print reports. You can export reports. Stimulsoft Reports.Web provides the complete cycle of report building, starting with report templates and ending with showing them in a browser. And all this can be done without closing your Web browser. There is no need to install the .NET Framework, ActiveX components or other special plug-ins on your client’s machine. All you need is a Web browser with Flash Player 9.

Web report designer? Is it possible? – The report generator gives you an opportunity to edit reports in the window of a Web browser. The only requirement is a Web browser and Flash Player 9. It is simple on the client and what about the server? It is simple too. All you need is to put a simple non-visual ASP.NET component on your Web page and call the Design method within any event of a page. Then, one line of a code is enough to run the designer in a browser. That’s all. It is very hard to create a dynamic application for the Web. Stimulsoft Reports.Web includes: a Ribbon interface, visual component builder, clipboard, table editing, zooming etc, plus many other functions for convenient and quick report editing.

What about reports which require viewing over the Web? - When you create a report in Stimulsoft Reports.Web there is no need for you to worry about how your clients will see the report. You can view a report in the window of a browser. You can print a report. You can export a report to more than 20 formats: PDF, XPS, Excel, Word, HTML, RTF, XML etc. All this can be done both in the Ajax-based report Web Viewer and directly from code within your Web application.

I need to create complex reports! Will your report designer engine do this? - The report writer is especially developed to render complex reports. Such components as SubReport, Container, Clone allow rendering of very complex structured reports.

Can your report engine work with my data? - The report writer supports many types of data. Stimulsoft Reports.Web supports many types of .NET data. These are all standard types of ADO.NET: DataSet, DataTable, DataView, DataRelation, etc. All data is output considering the hierarchy of data in the DataSet. All data is typified. Besides ADO.NET various types of business objects are supported. Also you can get data directly from MS SQL, Oracle, ODBC, OleDB, FirebirdSQL, PostgeSQL, SQLCE, SQLite etc. There is also no problem to get data from XML files. In addition to the report engine is able to process your data. It is possible to sort, filter, group, merge, summarize etc.
