Essential Tools Windows Forms

• VS 2008 style Tab Splitter - The new control 'TabSplitterContainer' supports creating interfaces similar to the Visual Studio 2008 designer. This control has advanced features such as arranging the split tab pages in horizontal or vertical alignment, collapsing or swapping panes.
• VS 2008 Style for TabcontrolAdv - The advanced Tab Control (TabControlAdv) included with Essential Tools now supports the VS 2008 tabbed appearance by just setting a new style property. The VS 2008 tabs allow for a border around tabs and this feature is also supported.
• Watermark (cue) Text for Editable controls - The new BannerTextProvider component provides cue banner help text for editor controls (such as TextBox, ComboBox based controls) and the same controls hosted in Menus. It provides two editing modes, FocusMode and EditMode and other customizable options too. BannerText can also be set for Microsoft Editor controls.
• Docking Windows – VS 2008 style dragging - Docking manager offers a new dragging style for complete compatibility with VS 2008 docking. It provides VS2008 IDE look and feel for your application using Syncfusion Docking manager.
• Office 2007 Docking MdiChild Form - Office 2007 UI is integrated further into the Docking Windows framework by supporting the use of “Office 2007 Form” for Docking Wrapper Form when changing the state to MDI. Standard color schemes as well as custom color schemes are supported for the Docking MDI child forms.
• Office 2007 Ribbon – ToolStripComboBoxEx - The Office 2007 Ribbon implementation now supports Office 2007 appearance for the scrollbars in ComboBoxItem. With this new feature, you get full Office 2007 look for the ComboBoxItem in ToolStripEx. Scrollbars can also apply custom color schemes based on Office 2007.
• Office 2007 - Managed Color Scheme - Custom color schemes can be provided to change the look and feel of any application using the Syncfusion controls. User defined colors can now be applied to all the parts of the application including the Ribbon control, ToolStrip control, StatusStrips, Office2007 form and other Office2007 Style supported controls. The new version of Essential Studio extends the managed color scheme support for the editor controls also. Now user can set managed custom colors to more than 20 different Office2007 Styled controls.
• Tab Splitter - Excel 2007 Style - TabBarSplitterControl is now available with Office 2007 (Excel) style. Includes all three color schemes and custom color support too.
• Controls rearrangement in Layout Management - Controls laid out by Flow layout, Grid Layout can now be rearranged simply be dragging the controls in the designer.
• Advanced Tab Control – New events - You can now handle the closing of TabPages in TabControlAdv with the help of TabPageClosing and Closed events.
• XPTaskBar with Office 2007 Style - Office2007 Style has been extended to XPTaskbar control in this version. Create a clean looking Office 2007 like task bar easily and also customize the appearance as needed.

Essential Diagram Windows Forms

• Performance improvements -Got more data to visualize? This version of Diagram provides further performance improvements for loading large number of nodes and for user manipulation of the nodes.
• PolyLine Link Tool -Another tool added to enhance your users’ experience designing diagrams - Check out the new PolyLine Link Tool that can create PolyLine links.
• Selection Handle Customization -Improve or customize the look and feel of Diagram node selection handles. You can change the colors and also allow users to show or hide the handles.

Essential Chart Windows Forms

• Chart and Template Wizards improvement - Check out the new look and feel of Chart and Template wizards with many other improvements. Chart Series can now be generated through the designer itself.
• Toolbar improvement -The Chart Toolbar has been improved with better styles and additional customization options.
• Binding with ArrayList -Now chart can be easily bound with IEnumerable based collections like ArrayList. This extends chart to be easily used with LINQ.

Essential Grid ASP.NET

• Skins - The Essential Grid control ships with several new Automatic Formats including Vista, Office 2003, Office 2007 and many more. These automatic formats enable the easy implementation of a richly formatted, proven and professional look and feel.

• Server memory requirements have been reduced by a multi layered rendering technique that uses HTML to render the background.
• PolyLine Link Tool -Another tool added to enhance your users’ experience designing diagrams - Check out the new PolyLine Link Tool that can create PolyLine links.

• Export to Docx format - This version implements support for exporting document elements to the Word 2007 Docx format. All basic elements of MS Word can be exported to Docx format without any change in API. You can also convert word document of Word97-2003 format that has DocIO supported elements to Word 2007 format.
• Insert Table of Contents - Make it easier for readers to find key sections of your Word documents by inserting table of contents. Now you can create a table of contents from styles and levels similar to MS Word and insert it into your document using DocIO.
• Built-in styles support -Apply various rich built-in styles of MS Word to your document with Essential DocIO. You can now insert MS Word built-in styles such as Heading styles with a single line of code and create rich formatted word documents.
• Page number formatting options - Format your document page numbers with various number format styles similar to MS Word. You can now set different page numbers for different sections with or without continuing from previous page numbers.
• HTML String Insertion - Easily insert rich formatting through XHTML strings. All basic tags of XHTML with or without XHTML validations are supported.

Essential XlsIO

• Excel 2007 Chart support - Essential XlsIO now supports creating richly formatted charts in Excel files.
• Writing page breaks in Excel 2007 - Paginate and insert page breaks in Xlsx files. You can now insert horizontal and vertical page breaks and customize your Excel sheets.
• External formula support -Link your worksheets and workbooks with external references. With this new version, you can preserve formulas that have their range of cells referring to other workbooks or worksheets.

Essential PDF

• Reading existing PDF documents -Read and edit existing PDF documents. You can now open your PDF document through streams, bytes or from disk. Password protected documents can also be opened.
• Document modifications -Change different attributes of PDF documents using Essential PDF. Merge multiple PDF documents, split a single document into multiple PDFs, import pages from any of your document, insert pages in an existing document at any desired position, and so on.
• Merging bookmarks - Import and reorganize document bookmarks while merging multiple documents. Preserve existing bookmarks while merging multiple documents.
• Reading and filling Acroforms -Comprehensive support for form reading and filling is included.
• Form and field flattening - Make your form static and not editable by flattening a particular field or a whole form.
• PDF templates creation - Create PDF templates and page templates from existing documents. With this feature, you can watermark / stamp the document, overlay pages over other pages, rotate and translate the pages, and so on.
• Improved HTML to PDF conversion - This version improves page formatting support for HTML to PDF conversion and allows for sizing the HTML page to fit into a PDF page without edge truncation. Create rich PDF documents from HTML web pages with high resolution.
• Enhanced support for Tables -You can now set the height for table rows, sort the table and apply different formatting for headers and columns.

Essential Tools WPF

• Ribbon Control - Ribbon control now ships with a wide range of features. Gallery control, Mini Tool bar, Split buttons, scrollbar support to ribbon tab and ribbon bars and multi line support for menu items are some of the added features in Ribbon control. All the Ribbon related controls can be added to other windows and XBAP applications with custom color scheme support.
• Validate integer values – IntegerTextBox - IntegerTextBox supports Int64 datatype values. Data Modeling support, ability to specify minimum and maximum values, customizable look and feel, different colors for Negative and Positive integers, built in visual styles and themes, globalization and designer support for both Microsoft Expression Blend and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 are the salient features of IntegerTextBox.
• Validate double values – DoubleTextBox - DoubleTextBox supports values of double datatype. DoubleTextBox in Essential Studio WPF ships with a variety of built in features such as two way data binding, minimum and maximum values, globalization, designer support for both Microsoft Expression Blend and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. Built in visual styles and themes are complemented by support for templates.
• Advanced Tree control – TreeViewAdv - TreeViewAdv control is used to display the data in a hierarchical order. Unlimited number of items can be added. Also supports multiple node selection, drag and drop of items, built in animations for expand and collapse operations and in-place editing of items. Different images can be provided for expanded and collapsed states of an item. Images can also added to left and right of the tree items.
• Clock - Clock Control can display the time in digital and analog formats. Extensive customization is possible by just setting the properties of the clock control. The clock control supports hand dragging wherein the users can drag the hands in the clock to change the time.
• Docking Manager – Office 2007 schemes - Docking Manager now supports Office 2007 Black Silver color schemes.
• Color Picker - The new Color picker control supports selecting colors using an eye dropper. New layout and visual styles and themes have also been added.
• Date Time Edit - DateTimeEdit control comes with a built in Watch control to select time easily. It also supports empty field values.

Essential Chart

• Multiple Axes Support -Multiple X and Y axes can be added to chart and specific series of data can be associated with different axes. Zooming is also supported with multiple axes.
• Improved Chart Legends -Chart Legends can now be added to both the Chart Area and the outer area as required. Chart Area legends now enable the user to select the segments to be displayed in the pie, doughnut, pyramid and funnel chart types, using check boxes.
• Segment Labels for Pie, Doughnut, Pyramid and Funnel - Segment labels are supported in chart types such as pie, doughnut, pyramid and funnel. Segment labels can be customized and can be placed inside or outside of the segment. Pointer lines can be displayed when the labels are displayed outside the chart segment.
• Zooming for ChartSeries with Controllable Zooming Toolkit - Chart zooming in Essential Chart for WPF now enables the user to zoom individual ChartSeries in a chart. It also allows the user to display / hide the items in the zooming toolkit.
• High Performance - Chart rendering performance has been improved compared to earlier versions. You can visualize large number of data points with minimal impact on system resources.
