I have a contact manager product, as a desktop developed in VB6. I'm rebuilding this product to a VS2005 web application. I'm using SQL server as a database. My questions are:
I)
If I use your radcontrols, like the scheduler am I be able to show the appointments in your control, but can I edit the details on a different page, or on a seperate place on the page, without using your page tot edit the appointment deatils.

2) I will write code in VB.NET are there any examples using VB.NET (examples with forms)

3) Will the controls appear in de toolbar on the left on the screen

4) is there a evaluation version of the controls available, so I can develop a first simple app which works 28 day or something

Sounds like the perfect tool for me - but keep getting this error

!System.Exception: No ItemsRequested Event Handler associated with the combobox at Telerik.WebControls.RadComboBox.OnItemsRequested(RadComboBoxItemsRequestedEventArgs e) at Telerik.WebControls.RadComboBox.HandleCallBack()

I found the same errorr mentioned on your support site but with no resolution - are you able to assist?

I have been using (that is now called) AJAX for some years now and there are a lot of stable libararies now out there.
I have been looking at ATLAS for .NET 2.0 and that is becoming more stable and looks to be what the AJAX panel is from Telerik.

If I was using .net1.1 then it would be a no brainer.

What other reviewers are suggesting is that life is much easier with The r.a.d. Controls Suite than without it, suggesting it is just another layer of abstraction (not unlike the ATLAS libraries).

Like it is not hard to write AJAX UIs with VS2005 out of the box but there apprear more design time tools for it with Telerik - which means less coding. And if no coding less bugs and less maintence. Telerik apprear to be putting more time into the AJAX architecture since this is really their only product versa the level of attention Microsoft places on ATLAS.
So far as a company I have found Telerik oozing professionalism at every touch point so support is not an issue.

Would really appreciate some feedback from ASP.NET 2.0 users that know AJAX/Javascript well that can articulate just how life enhancing the "The r.a.d. Controls Suite - with added AJAX" is. "Really Cool" is meaningless btw.

Hello Doug.

My answer will be somewhat biased, but I decided to respond anyway, and to leave the decision which product to use to you.

Most telerik clients, who have used and are using r.a.d.ajax (which superseded r.a.d.callback) find the benefits over Atlas right away. From your words, I understand that you have not tried r.a.d.ajax yet – I am sure that once you do, you will be surprised by the easy approach it offers to ajax-ifying any application.

Nevertheless, there is a section on our our online forums, which discusses the same issue, look in the Community Forums section under AJAX, Atlas and Web 2.0 section.

Feel free to post your thoughts there – I am sure that someone from the telerik community will address them. If not, we will :-)

Yes, I agree with Rob. The r.a.d.ajax tools are providing more functionality then the ajax manager from Microsoft.
Allthough the new suite of telerik controls is based on the AJAX.NET framework.

I need help regarding the menu control. Is there a way to make the menu control to be able to display over Frames. for example., i have multiple frames on a single web page. I want to attach the menu control to the top frame and wanted to view the menu items upon expanding the menu. But the below Frame is hiding the menu items. Is there any new version to support Frames ?
