I started using the RADControl suite whilst contracting for a training company. Since then I have downloaded and used software to produce both Winform and Web applications for myself.

I have started creating an application for my wife for her busy shop to help with stock control, customers, accounts etc. I needed something that could help get the dev process going quickly as there was an urgency to rollout a test version ( when is there not!). I had reviewed both Telerik's and Infragistics Winforms components and decided to try the Telelrik controls due to my exerience with their web controls. Overall I have found their controls very intuitive to use with many different areas of developer customisation that can be acheived. The main area here for me was the use of skins which can be controlled throughout the application. If you don't like the collection offered (of which there are quite a few)I found it fairly easy to create my own. Integration with the Visual Studio IDE is also painless and seemless. The controls are drag and drop based from the toolbox as you would expect and the API is clean and easy to learn. The documentation has many examples although not all areas were covered but should be easily worked out for a competent developer. The Telerik website examples were also a great help with code and suggested best practices and the forums are an immense benefit.

Overall my experience so far has been very positive and I am most impressed with the support responses and community website forums. Help doesn't seem to be to far away when needed.

Telerik Rad Controls for winforms provide a complete solution for designing winfoms at a high level, while easy to use. The controls allow us to give our applications a professional look and feel and ease winforms development. With the control suite it is possible to create ms office-like applications, with intuitive interfaces and advanced data representation. The control suite is a must have tool for any self respecting winforms developer who wants to develop the best user experience for his client. You won't find any other company than Telerik that provides a control suite as complete and easy-to-use as the Rad Controls Suite. Also, Telerik Support reacts as quickly as the blink of an eye, this is a great advantage whilst developing and a time saver!
The documentation provided along with the suite is excellent and detailed, a great help for getting to know the lots & lots of new controls that you'll learn to use and will love!!!

There are very few companies that provide excellent controls for ASP.NET and WinForms both and I think Telerik leads them. I like them because of their suberb features like Office2007 Ribbonbar, Flash like animation and Theme support. I really like visual shape designer that provides 'curved-free form design' without writing any code. The 25 UI Components suite provides top desig and functionality in applications and makes it unique. Telerik support is an other thing worth mentioning. It has been excellent throughout my experience. If you ask me about Telerik my answer is: They are the BEST!
