Using this application, you can also choose the version of the format in which the drawing document will be exported (e.g. .DWG 2010 file, VDCL, .DXF version 14, .DGN file version 8 etc).

VectorDraw FileConverter Features (supported by Full / Lite versions)

• Conversion of 2D and 3D vector file graphics. (Full and Lite)
• Supports unlimited layouts and viewports. (Full and Lite)
• Supports SHX and true type fonts. (Full and Lite)
• Converts .DWG files version 12, 14, 2000, 2004 and 2007. Also imports .DWG 2010 (Full, Lite - only 2000, 2004 and 2007)
• Converts .DXF files version 12, 14, 2000, 2004 and 2007. Also imports .DWG 2010 (Full, Lite - only 2000, 2004 and 2007)
• Converts .DGN files version 8 (Full and Lite)
• Converts VDF, VDI files from version 3.1 up to 5.0 (Full and Lite)
• Imports VDP files from version 5.1 (Full and Lite)
• Export to PDF files (Full, Lite - limited support)
• Export to .SVG files (Full only)
• Export to .DWF files from version 4.2 to 6 (Binary and ASCII) (Full only)
• Converts a file or a whole directory of files from any type to any type (Full only)
• Option to save or not the preview image of the exported files (if available from the format standard) (Full and Lite)

VectorDraw FileConverter Lite Version has the following limitations:

• SVG and PDF export only
• .DWF file export only
• Using the FileConverter Full then you can easily convert a DGN file directly in a DWG file. The Lite version cannot do that in one step. You will have to convert the .DGN file to a VDCL/VDML file (step 1) and then this new VDCL/VDML file to a .DWG file (step 2)

Please note that VectorDraw FileConverter is an end user application and has nothing to do with the VectorDraw libraries. It only converts files and does not accept any development. If you need a developer product for programming please check out VectorDraw Developer Framework (VDF).
