  • Visual Studio 2008 support was added. Especially the integration of the control’s help with MSDN 2008 was implemented. Additionally, all projects were recompiled with the new Visual Studio 2008 environment.

What's new in WebDailyCalendarGo! V2.2.2?

  • New AppointmentCollection.GetOverlapped and AppointmentCollection.IsOverlapped methods were added that intend for checking specified time interval is overlapped with existing in the calendar appointments objects.
  • The invoking of the server FirstDateChanged event was added in response of calling the client SetFirstDate(date) method.

  • A cooperating with Microsoft AJAX UpdatePanel control was corrected. There were some issues, while UseCallback property equaled false value, which worked incorrectly, such as working next and previous buttons
  • A denying of an overlapping appointments controlled by the DailyCalendar.AllowOverlap property was corrected. The undoing of the dragging operation did not restore location and size of the appointment rectangle properly
  • A changing appearance of an appointment rectangle during one's is selecting was corrected
  • A checking value of the DailyCalendar.FirstHour property is added, which protects control before failing when value is out of range of the visible time
  • An extended datetime formatting supported by the ExtendedFormatter class was added to the DateLabelFormat property were added. These formats allow displaying quarter of year, week number, using the 1-st, 2-nd, 3-th, 4-th manners, roman numbers

What’s new in V2.0.5?

  • New CalendarObj.SetFirstDate(date) client method was added. It allows a change of a date displaying in the calendar by using a callback request
  • New way for serializing an Appointments and a Resources properties added. This keeps values between two following requests to a server and uses a client object to store them (ScriptState). The ScriptState, opposite to a standard ViewState algorithm, works properly while callbacks and is controlled by a DailyCalendar.SaveStateData property
  • New ContextMenuBox.OnClientMenuActivate property was added. It allows to state a JavaScript code invoked by a web browser before displaying a menu

WebDailyCalendarGo! was designed to be compatible with multiple browsers. Drag & drop and Edit-In-Place functionalities are supported. You can use JavaScript to significantly reduce HTML code size sent to a browser, allowing the calendar to be used on networks with limited bandwidth.

Features:

  • Supports IE, Netscape and Firefox browsers
  • HTML + JavaScript - for correct operation standard HTML and JavaScript in a browser only is required. No ActiveX controls, Java applets etc. are needed
  • Minimum HTML size - a large portion of HTML code is generated on a client. Therefore a size of HTML transferred in small and does not depend of a number of rows (time resolution of a calendar)
  • Microsoft Web Outlook - look-and-feel of a calendar is similar to the calendar used in Microsoft Web Outlook and Microsoft Outlook
  • Simple programming - a simple data model and structure similar to other .NET controls
  • JavaScript object – you can program a calendar control using a client JavaScript which reduces number of trips to the server
  • AJAX postbacks - postback support (AJAX) allows for faster processing of server events without screen refresh and focus loss
  • Context Menus - client events for mouse clicks in a Web browser and new menu controls allow you to display context menus associated with various elements of a calendar without requests to the server
  • Multilingual – using system language settings allows operation in any language
  • Resource manager – allows you to manage available resources (hotel rooms, employees performing tasks, availability of various devices, cars, etc.) in a daily view
  • Full control over color from a Visual Designer and Auto format — all the controls' colors can be easily adjusted
  • Smart tags (Action list) – the component supports this new capability within Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 which speeds up setting frequently used properties
  • Defining tooltips - allows you to assign additional information displayed after pointing to an appointment with a mouse. When the full text of an appointment does not fit a frame, a tooltip displays it in an enlarged window
  • AllDay rectangle visible – you can hide a portion of the calendar containing all-day appointments
  • Customizable hour resolution – you can define time resolution of a control within 5 minutes to 1 hour range
  • Edit text appointment (Edit In Place) - allows you to edit text directly on an appointment control without opening a new page
  • Extended appointment display - allows you to associate arbitrary content (including graphics) with an appointment
  • Drag & Drop functionality - you can change duration and start time of an appointment using the mouse
  • Customizable hours - allows to set working hours, holidays and a range of time displayed on a calendar. A table of hours can be scrolled vertically or displayed as a whole
  • Multiple days - display multiple days in many columns simultaneously
  • Reading data from and save via ADO.NET
  • CLS Compliant & Code Analysis - All assemblies are compiled with rules set to CLS Compliant and checked using Code Analysis
