The XpressEditors Library was engineered to put you in full control of the development process and help you create absolutely stunning interfaces without hassles or aggravation. Regardless of the type of interface you wish to design, the XpressEditors Library can get you there easier than you ever thought possible.
Among the dozens of new technologies found in the XpressEditors Library, is its StyleController architecture which allows you to change the Style of some or all editors within your application -or form - using a single property setting. The StyleController gives you total control when designing an application. Whether you wish to give your applications the look & feel of IE, Win2K, or even Win3.1, the XpressEditors Library offers you all the weapons you need to create incredible interfaces with ease
The following is a list of all the controls you will receive when you purchase the XpressEditors Library.
Standard Text Edit - A standard Text Edit field
Mask Edit - You can use the Mask Edit to enter any data that includes literals and requires a mask to filter characters during data input. You can use this control to control the entry of many types of formatted information such as telephone numbers, social security numbers, etc.
Button Edit - The Button Edit control is an extended version of the standard Windows CommandButton and TextBox controls. Its combines a command button with a standard text box. You can employ it to open or close dialog windows or execute any function required by your application. Unlike the standard controls, the Developer Express button edit control can contained multiple buttons that can be optionally left aligned
Pick List Edit - The Pick List Edit control provides an intuitive interface for your users to select values from pre-defined lists presented in a drop-down window. Like the button edit control, the pick edit control can contain multiple buttons
Image Edit - You can use the Image Edit control to manage image lists. This field control consists of three elements: An image, its description, and one or more edit buttons. The default action for an edit button is to open the dropdown window which in turn displays a list of images and their corresponding descriptions
Spin Edit - The Spin Edit control allows your users to view and change integer and float values using a familiar up/down button combination
Time Edit - The Time Edit control is used to manipulate units of time: hours, minutes, and seconds. It allows a user to design a functional time input interface quickly and efficiently. The value for the control can be supplied by direct input or through code
Date Edit - The Date Edit is a Microsoft style date control. The dropdown Calendar provides an efficient and appealing way to edit dates at runtime
Color Edit - You can include a color selection control in your applications via the Color Edit. Three elements make up the Color Edit: Graphic region, Edit region and Buttons region. The dropdown window contains two tabs that can be used to select colors; the pallette tab shows a grid of colors, while the system tab shows the current windows color constants
Check Edit - The Checkbox Edit control is an extended version of the standard Windows check box control. This control can represent three states, checked, unchecked, and null. When the value is null, the control can optionally appear as "grayed". This control extends the standard Win32 checkbox by adding different styles for rendering and custom check images. It includes additional enhancements that allow you to use it as a radio button
Calculator Edit
Memo Edit - The Memo Edit is designed to provide a unique and intuitive interface, which you can implement within your application to assist users in working with textual information. If all information does not fit within the edit box, scroll bars can be displayed
Memo Extended Edit - The Extended MemoEdit control combines a dropdown window with the Memo Edit control. A user can view and edit text in a resizeable dropdown memo edit windoe
Hyperlink Edit - TheHyperLink Edit control allows your application to edit and display hyperlink addresses. There are two elements in the control: An edit region and a graphic region. The edit region of a hyperlink edit control displays a hyperlink address, which can be accessed via a single or double-click. The graphic region contains a picture, which gives the control a more pleasant look & feel. When processing a hyperlink click, the editor opens an address with the help of the appropriately registered application
Lookup Edit - Use this control to set the value of the edit control using another set of "lookup" values. Assume you have two different fields: "PartNo" an identification field and "VendorName" a field with the vendor name. You can specify the "PartNo" field in the LookUpKeyFieldName property and it will be stored in the database. Specifying the "VendorName" field in the LookUpDisplayFieldName property allows displaying data from this field in the edit control when the dropdown window is closed. You can use an incremental search with the field specified by the ListSearchIndex property. Use the ListFieldName property to determine which fields will be displayed in the dropdown window
