For our VB6 project we were using the MS ADO grid (very buggy) bound to a table, and the plain vanilla grid32.ocx for unbound use. I wanted to replace these two grids with one that could easily be used in both bound and unbound mode. The Xpress QuantumGrid was perfect. The bound mode utilizes it's own "data control", no need to drop an ADO control on the form. It works beautifully in unbound mode, and added a very professional touch to our project. The price is very reasonable, and the support is outstanding. Highly recommended.

After using and testing other grids, I discovered this product about 4 - 5 months ago and am now very happy with it. The staff answer queries very quickly and provided assistance that really works. I urge current users to get the (finally) nice HTML Help System and the newest maintenance release ~ October 1, 2001. The good thing for me is, that I can AVOID having to code heavily to do great user grid interfaces. I certainly look forward to the .NET version when it is released. The best purchase is the development suite that has the complement of nice printing and editing tools. Finally, it is very reliable and not (to date) buggy. Oct 13, 2001.

The 3 star rating is the result of two opposite ratings: 5 star for features, design and options and 1 star (or less) for the incredibly poor documentation. Just standard help files and some VB projects without any comment. I wrote a message about this to technical support receiving news about a future and more complete documentation; be careful if you need a full documented product.
