Teamprise Remote Accelerator is designed for developers who work outside the headquarters, over a slow broadband connection from the server. Cache Seeding Designed for Single Users
Teamprise Remote Accelerator employs an innovative "cache seeding" technology to ensure that download speeds are always fast for single users. Traditional version control proxies rely on multiple users to attain fast version control speeds: the first time a source code item is requested from the proxy, it does not exist in the cache and must be downloaded from the main Team Foundation Server. Subsequent requests, however, are fast because the item will now be in the cache. While this is beneficial for a group of developers, it doesn't help the lone remote developer who is telecommuting: every "get latest" will be the first request for a file, and it won't exist in the local cache. Teamprise Remote Accelerator, however, monitors changes being made on Team Foundation Server and downloads new changesets from the server before they're requested by the client. This ensures that every source control item is already cached on your local hard drive for fast downloads.
