The latest ComponentSource Awards have just been announced - take a look to see the results below.

Each year ComponentSource presents our Top 100 bestselling publishers and products with awards. These awards are based on the total USD $ value of sales to our customers worldwide and as such represent a real world view of the products that are in demand and currently being bought by our global customers. As such they probably represent the best software component and development tool market size and research information available on a global basis anywhere in the world.

Bestselling Product Awards Explained

The products have each been allocated a Top 5, Top 10, Top 25, Top 50 or Top 100 Bestselling Product Award for 2012-2013 based on the following ranking:

  • total sales USD $ order value for the individual product
  • for sales made to our customers in over 180 countries worldwide
  • less the value of any refunds made due to issues with the product
  • between the dates Jan 1st, 2012 to Dec 31st, 2012 inclusive
  • sales made in non-USD $ currencies have been converted into USD $ to get a final total value
  • the list has then been sorted and the awards made based on the ranking achieved
  • the awards were announced in February 2013, based on sales made in 2012, hence the name 2012-2013

Bestselling Publisher Awards Explained

  • for sales made to our customers in over 180 countries worldwide

  • sales made in non-USD $ currencies have been converted into USD $ to get a final total value
  • the list has then been sorted and the awards made based on the publisher ranking achieved
  • the awards were announced in February 2013, based on sales made in 2012, hence the name 2012-2013
