Stimulsoft Reports includes a set of tools to build reports in WinForms, ASP.NET, WPF and Silverlight environments. It includes report designers, which can be run at design and run time. It also includes viewers for displaying reports. You can use the system to export reports in a number of different formats. The following editions are available:

Version 2011.2 now includes bubble, radar point, radar line and radar area charts.

Stimulsoft Reports.Net is a .NET based report generator which helps you create flexible and feature rich reports. All reports are created in report designer with handy and user-friendly interface. You can use the report designer both in design time and in runtime. No royalties for using the report designer in runtime are required. Using Stimulsoft Reports.Net you can create reports on the bases of the variety of data sources. Created reports can be used both in Windows Forms and in ASP.NET. Rendered reports can be exported to PDF, XPS, Excel, Word etc. Source code is available.

Save a Copy - A new option to save a copy of any item in the data dictionary has been added. This feature will significantly speed up the process of creating new elements.
Filters and Queries - In all previous versions, filtration was processed mostly by the report generator. In the new version, users choose themselves how to filter - using the report generator or using an SQL query. If you are using the SQL query, the report generator will make changes of the SQL query text using a special algorithm, based on the specified filtration options. Filtration options are specified in the data band.
New Import Tool - You can now import from Report Sharp-Shooter format. The utility supports the main elements of the product.
Sorting and Filtration of Business Objects - Sorting and filtration is now possible for business objects. You can setup sorting and filtration using a standard editing dialog in the Data band. The configuration interface is exactly the same as for data sources.
Collapsing Hierarchical Reports - Using the collapsing function it is possible minimize redundant information in reports and, at the same time, provide this information only if needed.
New Installer - This utility helps you to install or remove Stimulsoft Reports assemblies into the GAC. The tool is also a great help when using the NGEN utility in conjunction with Stimulsoft Reports assemblies.
Google Docs and Storing Reports - All Stimulsoft report designers can now keep their reports in the Google Cloud. All you need is a GMail account.
New Functions - A new feature has been added to the data dictionary - ToWordsFa. The function converts a number to string in words in Persian. This feature is available in all versions of the report generator.
Support for Dirhams in ToCurrencyWords - DHS (Dirham) has been added to the list of supported currencies.
New Chart Types - Bubble, Radar Point, Radar Line, and Radar Area.
New Assistant - Options Helper - This tool helps you to understand report generator options and creates a list of changed parameters. This list can be loaded in your program to quickly initialize report generator properties.
Border.Topmost Property - This feature expands the visual abilities of reports.
Optimization - Stimulsoft have optimized the report designer for working with very large reports. This was done in WPF, WinForms and Silverlight versions of the report designer.
Interacting with Charts - The new version comes with a new chart builder engine. It has been completely redesigned. Now you can interact with elements of diagrams on report pages, as well as with other components. You can use the tips, hyperlinks, dynamic transitions, scrolling, etc. for chart elements.
New Types of Labels for Charts - The chart has three new types of Labels - in the center of the series, on the left and on the right side of the series. New types of series will more accurately show the chart information necessary for the user.
Applying Style to Chart - Using this property, you can disable using a style in a particular element and set its own appearance values.
RefCursor and Oracle ODP Provider - RefCursor as a parameter is now supported in the Oracle ODP Provider. In order to use RefCursor as a parameter, select the Stored Procedure type of the query, add a parameter with the RefCursor type and then you can use a query in the report.

Version 2011.1 includes import utilities for RDL, Active Reports, XtraReports, and FastReport.Net report formats.

Stimulsoft Reports is a comprehensive solution that allows you to render reports in .NET. The product includes a complete set of tools to build reports under WinForms, ASP.NET and WPF environments. Stimulsoft Reports includes report designers, which can be run at design time and run time. It also includes viewers for displaying reports. You can use the system to export reports, in a number of different types of formats. One of the basic principles of using Stimulsoft Reports is different technologies but common approaches in creating reports. So when you need to migrate applications to new technologies the principles of working with reports remain unchanged.

Highlight Styles - The selected style is now stored and when style parameters are changed, design parameters and conditions are automatically updated.
Applying Parameters in Styles - In the new version of the condition editor, it is possible to specify which appearance parameters to use, and which not to use.
Improved the RequestFromUser option for variables - Now, using this option, the process of data request from the user can be greatly extended. It is possible to request not only simple values but nullable values, lists of values and value ranges.
Condition - Data Bar - Added a new Data Bar condition type to increase the quality of visual presentation of information. When using this condition, the reporting tool analysis all values in the specified data column. This information is used to display color bands in the output. This type of condition is very convenient to display the dynamics of changing data in the report. The Data Bar can only be used in text components.
Condition - Color Scale - Another new type of condition is the Color Scale. It is designed to display the dynamics of changing data. It is displayed by changing the background color of the component. This condition can only be used for text components.
Condition - Icons Set - Icon Set is a new type of condition to display graphical information in the text component. When using this condition, the report generator analyzes values in this column. The data is divided into ranges. Each range has its own icon. This condition is perfect for graphic reflection of the trends, the criteria of growth and decline, performance of various indicators. This condition can be used only for text components.
New Utilities for Converting Reports - Import utilities for RDL, Active Reports, XtraReports, and FastReport.Net.
New Types of Bar-codes - QR code, code 128 Auto and EAN 128 Auto.
MS Access Data - Added a separate type of connection for data connection to MS Access databases.
Connecting to EffiProz Data - The new version of our product supports connection to EffiProz databases.
Wizard for Placing Components - Added to simplify the placement of components in a band. If, when dragging a component, its border crosses the band border, then you will be prompted to automatically dock the component to the left or right side of the band. The size of components already placed in the band will be taken into account.
Wizard for Replacing Components - If you drag any field from the data dictionary to an existing component on a page, a replacement component wizard will be invoked. It offers options for adding or replacing the content of an existing component on data from the data dictionary.
Report Wizards in Silverlight - The previous version of the report designer for Silverlight, did not provide the ability to create reports using the Report Wizards. In the new version this omission was corrected. The following Report Wizards are added: Standard Report, Master-Detail Report and Label Report.
Styles in Dialogs - All controls now have the ComponentStyle property which is used for indicating a style. New styles can be created in the editor style.
Rotating Charts in a Report - The property allows rotating of a chart 90 degrees clockwise or anticlockwise; rotating a chart 180 degrees and flipping a chart either horizontally or vertically.
The Text in Cells Component in Stimulsoft Reports.Silverlight and Report Designer for Web - Added a new component to the reporting tool for Silverlight and Web - Text in Cells. The component is used to display text information in cells. It is typically used for printed forms.
Business Objects and Cross-Tab Component - Now you can select data including the category of Business Objects
Interactivity in Silverlight Report Viewer - The client-server version of the report viewer for Silverlight fully supports the Interaction property of report components. The property provides opportunity for sorting, grouping, navigation and reports detailing in a report viewer window.
XBAP Mode for Viewing Reports in WPF - This special version of the WPF viewer is designed to display reports in XBAP applications.
System Variables in Silverlight - Added display of system variables in the data dictionary. System variables are used to display various system information of a report - page number, current date and time, number of lines, etc.
CheckBox Component and Report Designer for Web - Support for the CheckBox component in Reports Designer.Web has been added. The component is used to display the flags of states.
Context Menu in Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web - Added support for context menus. The menu is available for each report page.
Context Menu in Viewer.Fx - The report viewer now displays the context menu. The menu commands of setting the report zoom are grouped.

Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web 2010.3 adds new data providers for dotConnect Universal and Microsoft Access.

Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web allows you to edit reports completely via the Web. There is no need to install the .NET Framework, ActiveX components or any other special plug-ins on your client's machine. All you need is a Web Browser. To add Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web to your ASP.NET application all you need to do is place one non-visual ASP.NET component on your form. Then it only takes one line of code to run the designer in a browser. The following features are available: visual component builder, undo-redo functions, functions for working with clipboard, tabular editing, zooming, and many more.

Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web requires Stimulsoft Reports.Net or Stimulsoft Reports.WPF.

Stimulsoft Reports Designer.Web is also available as part of Stimulsoft Reports.Ultimate.

Updates in 2010.3

New data adapters - The new version provides two new data adapters. The first adapter is designed for the dotConnect Universal provider. The second adapter is designed for accessing MS Access databases. The adapter is built into the report engine and can be used without additional configuration.
HTML Tags in Designer.Web - Designer.Web can now show HTML tags. These tags are for setting text color, font face, and font style.

New application
Stimulsoft have added a new application into the product: the report viewer. This application can display already rendered and saved reports.
New message panel
The Message panel has been completely redesigned. A new system of report checking is used. It not only informs the user about compilation errors, but also offers problem solving steps, recommendations to improve the report, displays warning of potential weak points in a report.
Calculation Mode
Now supports a new mode of processing expressions in the report. Previously, all the expressions in the report were compiled as a part of a report class. In the new mode, expressions are not compiled but interpreted by the built-in parser as expressions.
Localization in Bulgarian language is added
Now the product support localization of the interface into the Bulgarian language. It now supports 26 languages.
New DataAdapters
The data adapters are Oracle ODP.Net and two adapters for Sybase.
New functions
New features were added to the data dictionary. The first is the MaxStr function. This function returns a string that is at the end of the sorted list of values. The next function is MinStr. It returns a string that is at the beginning of the sorted list of values. The SumDistinct function summarizes only the unique values from a list. And the last function is ToCurrencyWordsThai. This function displays the amount of words in the Thai language.
Updated Documentation
A great number of new articles and step-by-step instructions have been included. They describe the many new properties and features.

Report checking
Ability to check a report for problems has been added. The report checker does not only inform you about the errors of compilations but provides multiple recommendations, messages, advice, and warnings about fixing the problems. You may immediately fix issues by some of the ways offered. Report checking works both in the report designer and by running the Report Checker utility.
A new method of working with business objects
Stimulsoft have introduced a new type of item in the data dictionary. Now working with Business Objects can be done directly, without the performance decreasing and problems with conversion.
PDF/A compliance
Now the product completely supports the PDF/A format. PDF/A is a file format for the long-term archiving of electronic documents. It is a subset of Adobe PDF. PDF/A must follow certain rules including following color management guidelines, using embedded fonts for rendering, and making annotation content available to users.
New primitives
In the new version of the report generator you will find multiple new primitives. All primitives are available for the Shape component. In addition the HorizontalLine and VerticalLine components have been updated. Also, new StartCap and EndCap properties have been added. They provide an opportunity to change the style of the start and and lines in the report.
Report parameters
Variables now have a new Request from User property. If you enable this property, then, when you show a report in the viewer, the report generator will automatically display a special form that is used to output the value of this variable. This improvement greatly simplifies the development of reports in our report generator. This property is supported by WinViewer and WebViewer.
ProcessignDuplicates improved
Stimulsoft have extended the features of the ProcessingDuplicates property of the text component. Three new values have been added: BasedOnTagMerge, BasedOnTagHide, and BasedOnTagRemoveText. The new values are different from previous ones. They use values of the Tag property as the key for processing but not the Text property of the text component. This enhancement provides the ability to specify compound keys, which will be used for components processing.
Table component and free placement
In the previous versions of the reporting tool, the Table component was placed as a band. In other words it was always docked to the top of the report page. Stimulsoft have added a new DockableTable property. If you set this property to false, then you may place the Table component anywhere within your report.
WYSIWYG property of the RichText component
This has been added to improve the printed results on some operating systems.
Turkish localization
Stimulsoft Reports now supports 25 languages.

Visual Studio 2010 support
WPF - New themes
In previous versions of Stimulsoft Reports.Wpf only one theme was available. It was the black theme. Now Stimulsoft have added the following new themes: Office 2010 White, Office 2010 Blue, Office 2007 Blue, Office 2007 Silver, Office 2007 Black, Office 2003 Blue, Office 2003 Silver, and Office 2003 Olive Green. New themes are available in the report viewer and in the report designer.
Web - Watermarks, shadows and borders
The new version of StiWebViewerFx now supports watermarks in a report. Text watermarks and watermarks as images are supported. In addition, StiWebViewerFx can show shadows of components. And another improvement is support of advanced borders. Now all types of borders are completely supported.
Report wizard
The following report wizards are added: Standard Report wizard, Master-Detail wizard, Label wizard, Cross-Tab wizard and Chart wizard.
Drag'n'Drop support
In version 2010.1 Stimulsoft have added full support of Drag&Drop operations. They are supported in the report dictionary, report tree, toolbox. Also Drag&Drop operations are supported in the text editor and expression editor, when dragging the elements from the report dictionary on a page, etc.

Latest release adds new table component, HTML tags and Super ToolTips.

The Table component
This new component allows increased speed of report building. It simplifies work with some controls. When using a Table, the user does not work with separate components placed in bands but with a structure of correlated cells. Size change, formatting, data filling all this can be easily done using the Table component.
Super ToolTips
Super Tooltips provide much more information about controls. Detailed tips describe each button. Super ToolTips are available both in the designer and in the viewer.
Context Tabs
Some components which are included into the product have very many properties. And it is very difficult to work with them. Stimulsoft have added Context Tabs to simplify settings of those components. Context Tabs are available for the Chart and the Table components.
Ribbon report viewer
New viewer is available both as a control and as a Tab in the Ribbon UI of the report designer.
Save images in assemblies sources
There was an old problem in the reporting tool when it was impossible to include big images to the report body. Now such images will be automatically placed in the report assemblies sources. To disable this property you need to use the StoreImageInResources property. This property is added to a report and is available in the report designer.
Standalone reports
In previous versions of the reporting tool it was possible to create standalone reports from code. Now this function is available from the Save As command of the report designer menu. Please, notice that standalone reports will work only if Stimulsoft Reports.Net assemblies are installed in GAC.
Cross-source
Very complicated preliminary data processing is possible with the Cross-source. Cross-source is a cross table but the results of rendering are not shown in a report but used with other components (can be used with charts for example).
