This year's ComponentSource Bestselling Product and Bestselling Publisher Awards have just been announced! There are two separate award lists for our Top 100 Bestselling Products for 2012 and our Top 100 Bestselling Publishers for 2012. The awards are based on the Total Sales $ Value of Sales for the Products/Publishers over the last year from Jan 1st, 2012 to Dec 31st, 2012 through ComponentSource. We give out separate awards to our Top 5, Top 10, Top 25, Top 50 & Top 100 Bestselling Products and also to our Top 5, Top 10, Top 25, Top 50 & Top 100 Bestselling Publishers from last year.
The award winners have been notified by email and also listed on our Web site. Each winning publisher has been sent an award logo or logos to use on their Web site Awards pages and adverts, so if you see your name on the list and you have not received your email - with the awards logos attached - please get in touch and we will forward it to you again.
We believe that these awards are a true global industry barometer, as they are based on real customer orders, buying software product licenses across 180+ countries worldwide. The awards therefore go to the products with the highest sales value globally - reflecting real customer demand as well as real commercial success. To discuss this award program please email: Chris Brooke in our Atlanta office, or Harry Kelly in our Reading office or Scott Sata in our Tokyo office. Note: Our Japanese Awards will be announced separately during the month of March.

RESCO also continue to do well with their Mobile products as a Top 50 Publisher Award winner and a new entrant called ShinobiControls appears in the Top 100 Product Award list for the first time - with their a set of Cocoa libraries for iPhone and iPad app developers.
What about Award winners for other Microsoft environments like SharePoint and SQL Server? SharePoint specialists like SharePointBoost appear in the Top 50 Publisher Awards list and also Layer 2 & Muhimbi have won Top 100 Publisher Awards this year. Plus SQL Server products are well represented with Red Gate Software winning several awards including a Top 10 Publisher Award and Devart winning a Top 25 Publisher Award for sales of their data access component products.
VCL components, for use with IDE tools from Embarcadero such as Delphi, are also represented. The leading product being the DevExpress VCL Subscription with a Top 25 Product Award and TeeChart Pro VCL (from Steema Software) also in the Top 100 Product Awards list.
What other types of product feature in the Awards lists this year? We have 2 Java products in the Top 25 Product Awards list this year with IntelliJ and Aspose.Total for Java featuring on the back of good sales in 2012. Plus Linux and UNIX products like SlickEdit for Linux and pcl2PDF for UNIX (from Visual Software) both win Top 100 Product Awards this year.
