| We are often asked what products sell best at ComponentSource. The basic answer is that the most recently revised products tend to sell better than older ones and quite often the third generation of a product - V3.0 - will sell better than it’s V2.0 or V1.0 predecessors for fairly obvious reasons. So when did you last revise your products? Is it over 12 months ago? If so – you are now officially late with your product release – certainly from the customer perspective. Customers expect you to be continually updating and enhancing your products – if you don’t do this regularly – your customers will wander off to someone else who they believe will look after them and their evolving needs better. If your sales are flat or worse still in decline – ask yourself – when did I last revise my products? Or when did I last launch a new product? You could be sitting on a small goldmine – for example there may be hidden $$$$$ in that old ActiveX/COM product audience that you’ve been ignoring! If you need advice on product revisions or pricing and licensing strategies – please contact: harryk@componentsource.com |
