Several of you have asked us for more on-line marketing on our Web Site and in our Customer Email Newsletters, in preference to appearing in our printed Paper Catalog. We have therefore created a new option for you to choose when you join or move up to the Professional Partner program tier. Basically you trade-in your appearance in the paper catalog throughout the year and swap it for 2 months extra Web Site advertising (so that makes 3 months in total), 3 months additional search keyword advertising and a guaranteed inclusion in one of our Customer Email Newsletters in one of the top 3 premium positions. We have evolved our Web Site image design a little further – to provide more information to our customers. The advert images on the Home Page and main Product Catalog pages now include various tags to help the customer understand the pedigree of the product at a glance. We now show the product status as a: Bestseller, Top Download, the Customer Review rating, a “New” label is shown if it has been launched in the last 3 months, the price and a link to other similar products in the same business category. The Web Site marketing images are also translated into: French, German, Italian, Spanish and South Korean – so this helps your non-English speaking customers too. In case you have not noticed it yet – our Product Comparison Reports for customers are now FREE for download. So it is even more important that you have submitted your latest product information to your Technical Account Manager. We update these comparison reports every month – so they are continually being refreshed and kept up to date for our evaluators to use. The process we use is to assess a product and decide what key features we think it supports – we then send this to you the publisher of the product for review and comment. Based on your feedback we update the features the product supports and then send this back to you for review again. When we add a new feature to the comparison report – we contact all the publishers with products in that comparison report – to ask if your product supports this new feature. Your prompt feedback is therefore critical to the accuracy of these comparison reports that are now being downloaded by 1,000’s of users each month. Make sure you download the relevant comparison reports for your products and let us know your feedback. Any requests for changes should be emailed to your Technical Account Manager or to publishers@componentsource.com
