One software license is required per-developer who designs, develops or maintains applications using ActiveReports.NET. A developer may install their license on up to two machines.

Dependent on geographic location, licenses may be available as an Annual (Timed) Subscription License or as a Perpetual License with a 1 Year Support and Update Subscription.

Annual (Timed) Subscription License (Only available in select geographic locations)
Licensed per developer on a yearly subscription basis. You can build and publish .NET applications using ActiveReports.NET components during your subscription period. You must renew your Annual Subscription License to continue to use the software.

Published applications are Royalty Free and do not expire, however if you do not renew your subscription license you will no longer be able to develop with the components. If you need to build and compile new applications, or make updates to existing applications you will need to purchase an Annual Subscription License.

Support option for Annual Subscription Licenses
MESCIUS support services are offered in Standard and Platinum levels .

Perpetual License (Only available in select geographic locations)
Developer Licenses are perpetual. The perpetual license entitles you to build .NET applications using the ActiveReports.NET components. The applications you build can be distributed royalty-free.

The optional maintenance After your support and updates subscription expires, you can renew to receive another year of updates. If you choose not to renew, you can continue using the last version of the controls you are eligible to use.

• Note for customers in Korea: Please be aware that MESCIUS Korea does not include major upgrades in maintenance for perpetual licenses in Korea. Service packs for the current version and technical support are provided. You will need to purchase an upgrade license to obtain major new versions.

Maintenance Plan for Perpetual License
Adding maintenance to your perpetual license provides you with ongoing support and updates for ActiveReports.NET throughout the duration of your maintenance period. With Maintenance, you benefit from:

• Free Upgrade: Access to the latest features, enhancements, and performance improvements added in the next major release. (Example: A v20 license holder with maintenance will receive a license for v21 upon its release)
• Bug Fixes: Timely patches and fixes for any issues or vulnerabilities that are identified.
• Priority Support: Direct access to the MESCIUS technical support team for expedited issue resolution and assistance. Phone support included.
• Cost Savings: A more economical way to stay current with the latest versions. Renewal cost for a license with maintenance is cheaper than purchasing an upgrade later.

Build Servers and CI/CD
If you use automated build agents (CI-CD), MESCIUS offers a Pipeline License:
Intended for build-time use only (no design-time tooling).
Works well with ephemeral/cloud agents and Docker-based builds.
Less restrictive on machine limits/activation patterns than a standard Developer License.

You must purchase or already own at least one developer license  (Annual Timed Subscription or Perpetual) in order to purchase a pipeline license. For EULA compliance, you must still own one developer license per each individual developer working on the project containing ActiveReports.NET, even if all developers are compiling the project using the same build pipeline and pipeline license.
