Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) is an open-standard extension to HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol). Its basic functionality enables file management through a web server, allowing users to share, copy, move, and edit files over the internet. As well as resource locking and other features, WebDAV also supports metadata handling and namespace management, which improves the organization and retrieval of documents. This protocol eliminates the need to download and upload files constantly, facilitating collaborative editing and file management on remote web servers.

  • Aspose.Email for .NET offers efficient email management and processing features via its APIs, allowing developers to work with WebDAV in their .NET applications.
  • SecureBlackbox (part of /n software Red Carpet Subscription) includes client and server-side support for WebDAV via its WebDAVClient and WebDAVServer components.
  • Clever Internet .NET Suite for C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET by Clever Components supports WebDAV operations, enhancing internet application functionality for file management.
  • SocketTools .NET Edition by Catalyst Development Corp. is a suite of classes that provides WebDAV support, enabling file management over HTTP in .NET environments.
