Dr.Explain Annual License is licensed on "per Windows user account" schema, per year. The application is installed into a certain Windows user account. Therefore, you need a license for every Dr.Explain installation, even if all the installations were made on a single physical PC.
Premium maintenance is included and all updates (minor and major) for the duration of your license term.
To continue to use the software you will need to purchase an Annual License Renewal each year.

Dr.Explain Perpetual Licenses are licensed on "per Windows user account" schema. The Home License is for single purchases, images show a small label and it does not include collaboration on projects, projects created with the Business license are read only.
Basic maintenance is free for all users and includes email support. All minor updates (e.g., 6.1, 6.2, 6.5, ... 6.x) are free. There may be charges for major updates for those who ordered more than 12 months ago.

Dr.Explain 라이센스

One software license is required per user-PC schema.

CASE 1: Dr.Explain is installed locally on workstations (desktop PC) and is launched locally.
You need as many licenses as many PCs the application is installed on.

CASE 2: Dr.Explain is installed on a public server and is launched remotely in different user sessions.
You need as many licenses as many user sessions could use the application simultaneously (concurrently).

License Options
There are two types of license:

  • Annual 1 Year Subscription - One year (365 days) license with Premium maintenance and free updates included*.
  • Perpetual license for current version only. For example, all 6.x updates are free. The 7.0 update will be free if it's released within next 12 months.

* Annual Subscription Licenses require you to purchase an annual license each year to continue to use the software. Perpetual licenses allow you to use the current version purchased with no time limit however you will need to upgrade if you require the latest version.

The perpetual license is available in Business or Home editions. The home edition is for individual licenses and has some restricted features when compared to the Business Edition. The Home edition displays a small watermark on images. Images will also include a small license ID label, and each page will contain a link at the bottom to the Dr.Explain website. The use of Home licenses in commercial projects, business activities, the provision of paid services, work performed for third parties, as well as for the internal needs of commercial or governmental organizations, is prohibited. Collaboration between projects works in a demo mode and projects created with the Business edition are read-only for users of the Home License. The Business edition includes full functionality.

Are the new version upgrades paid?

  • For one-year licenses all updates are free.
  • For perpetual licenses all minor updates (e.g., 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 6.5, ... 6.x) are free. There may be charges for major updates for those who ordered more than 12 months ago. Upgrade pricing is usually offered at a discount from the new license price.

Support Options

Basic maintenance is free for all users and includes email support. This is a best-effort service.
If your organization requires a guaranteed response times, paid Premium Maintenance may be the ideal support solution for your needs. Premium Maintenance is included in the Annual Subscription License and includes the following options:

  • High priority email support.
  • Guaranteed initial response time.
  • Unlimited number of requests.
  • Direct support from company's engineers.
  • Remote access session.
